Review: Ibanez AS73 FM

Real nice 👌 i have this guitar my question is why dosen't anyone but me show how it sounds acoustic not plugged in because that is part of the semi hollow body guitar so you can play in a Place without electricity or even to practice in a hostel room without desterbing..anyone else 😊

After one year searching and trying different semi hollow guitars I got that one in green. An awesome semi for the money. I upgraded the whole electronics and put a pair of alnico II humbuckers, a not difficult job but requires patience. great review. I mainly choose this guitar rather than many others for 2 reasons mainly, the neck is very comfortable and well built and weight of the guitar is really low.

Good review. I bought one in cherry red in 2007. It’s maple body, mahogany neck and rosewood board and chunky neck profile are great. I’m happy to see the upgrades like fret blocks, and the pickups seem to be more punchy. Like you said, they’re a pretty good substitute for a 335, unless you have lots of money.

Indonesia is making great guitars. I had a couple of indonesia made guitars, one of them was a fantastic Squire Strat. Totally agree with you...

Great review, I love my as73.......... but currently my Epi 339 Pro sounds a little better. It must be the strings. The strings may be shot on my Ibby. Anyway theyre both great guitars What do you think Glenn?

I had an Epi 339. Loved it but frets were rough. I own Gibson 335's and Heritage 535 and 530. The Ibanez kills it for the price. Try a set of Stringjoy 10-48. Great strings.

Do you find there is a world of difference between this guitar and your heritage even though it is a P90 guitar?

Yes. The Heritage is an amazing hand made instrument. The Ibanez is great for $499.

@@glennireland9630 I owned a H-535 like 20 years ago, and sold it. I wasn’t half the player I am now. Either way I’m sure I would play the same on the Ibanez or the heritage. Like you said 499 great value.

I had a Heritage LP years ago. My cat knocked it over when it was leaning on my amp. The headstock snapped off! It never played the same and since then I’ve gone to Ibanez and the new epiphone LP Special. Much better value and they are good instruments too.
