I am an avid fan of both KnitPicks and Chiaogoo needles. When KnitPicks came out with the options lace interchangeable set, I decided I wanted it right away but they sold out and I had to wait for restock. I have been using these needles consistently for months and I have found I like them just as much as my Chiaogoo counterparts. I love the memory free cables and the needles themselves are very comfortable to work with. My only complaint is that I like cute cases. The plastic case is functional but definitely not aesthetically pleasing. I may replace it with one of their other cases. I have several KnitPicks needle sets (I like wooden needles for the feel of them, and I have several of the KnitPicks wooden sets.) I purchased KnitPicks needle cases and have really liked them so I may get a nicer case for these eventually.

Yes - while I like the fact that it comes bundled in a case, it's not the most appealing case. I use a Graces Cases needle case for all my ChiaoGoo needles - I may have to film a video showing off my needle case some time! If I buy more needles I'll need to buy another one to house those, since my current case is full to the brim!

Thanks Heather! I picked these up a few months ago and I am enjoying them. I only have the combo chiagoo 9 inch sets in size 1 so do not have a comparison. I think for the price point they are excellent.

I think Chiaogoo Red Lace needles have set the benchmark for metal needles. One thing that caught my attention was that the Chiaogoo tips are quite a bit longer than the Knit Picks Lace needles.

Thanks. I'm not sure about stainless steel thou, have you used the mindful collection? Does it feel like those? I currently use the nickle set and love them because it's insanely smooth

I haven't tried the mindful collection yet, so I can't compare -- I'll have to get some to try!

@@HeatherStorta yeah I have the DPNs that aren't the smoothest of the mindful collection, it's not bad but I definitely don't think I could knit a full project on them so I'm hoping the steel for the interchangeable needles are smoother

May I ask about the cables, are these different cables for these sizes or do they take the same cables as the larger mm sizes?

That's a good question! I'm not 100% sure, since I don't have the larger sizes to check - but according to their website, the lace reflections cables are not compatible with the standard or shorties interchangeable tips. Which is a shame because I do really like these cables!

Are the fixed reflection needles also 4 inches in needle tip length?
