I have a confession to make. One of my Cartier tank watches is a quartz watch. Since it has no second hand I didn’t feel the need and it was $2000.00 less. That enabled me to purchase a Tudor 1926 the same day. I’ve also the tools to replace my own battery at home and purchase my batteries at my local pharmacy. I have a Cartier with no maintenance.

Amazing movement. Rivals the GS 9F's and the Citizen Chronomaster movements. I'd take one of those over this any day, but then again, watches with those movements are around 3 times the price of this.

The perpetual calendar will continue to work for 6 months after the battery dies. unless the watch sits for 6 months after the battery dies, there's not need to have the calendar adjusted.

Casio’s Oceanus line is likely the benchmark for this... and I think the original Casio technology and affordable feature rich approach would make it a more desirable option for some.

This Longjeans is cool but it's at least twice the price of an Oceanus. Casio gives you so much product for the price compared to the Swiss who will nickel and dime you to death.

I don't know why it's only 50 meters resistance. The standard Conquest is 300 meters water resistance.

@@richardseekins24 50 meter water resistance or 5 bar does not mean you can put the watch 50 meters deep, if that's what you think. The watch cannot be considered truly submersible. For that you need 100 meters resistance. But Longines does 300 meter Conquest watches. I don't know why this watch is the exception.

I have seen that the movement l288 has no jewels. Would this affect the durability of the watch? Because the jewels are for reduce friction and make longer the lifetime of a watch.

@@TheCometHunter MSRP is the manufacturer's suggested retail price. They can sell it for more, they can sell it for less. Some brands have MAP pricing also, minimum advertised price which means they can not advertise an item as being less than X% off of the MSRP.

If i go to another country and i push the crown it reajusts time automatically ? Or i have to turn the crown by the hour until.i get the right time. Seiko astron it changes to new time without touching anything

A COSC certified automatic watch that gains 6 seconds a day is over 150 times less accurate then this watch in just six months and if not adjusted would be 18 minutes fast but realistically became a useless watch at around +/- 3-4 minutes which can literally occur in 1-2 months. Now that ain't my thing!
