does the power button on the camera turn off the grip? or do you have to keep in mind to switch both off?
@SeeItLoud6 жыл бұрын
Great question - You do need to switch both to off. There is a switch on the grip that needs to be turned on for the grip to supply power to the camera. If you leave that on, it leaves the 2.4ghz signal on in the grip powered on - so there is power draw if you leave the grip on.

Great video! I have been debating this or the Sony brand grip. I think I’ve made up my mind now. Keep the gear videos coming!!

Umm I have this as of today. How does the remote turn off? Put batteries in it, set the time..It is always on?

+ZmoPaR if I’m being honest - I have never used that little intravolometer remote. I’ll pull it out and see if I can directly answer your question.

I'm looking for genuine used review , should I get it ? And does it have any battery drain issue
@SeeItLoud4 жыл бұрын
Hey there! There IS an on/off switch that you need to make sure you turn off. If you leave it on you will have some battery drain.

Does the meike remote controller/intervalometer have any use. Can all the functionalities like time lapse etc, which arent present inbuilt in sony 3rd gen bodies be used via playmemories app??
@SeeItLoud6 жыл бұрын
+anu l i would say, given the new features of the gen 3 cameras, I wouldn’t use the remote for anything but remote triggering for long exposure, close up, or plain triggering from several feet away. As for timelapse... there are better features and more user friendly options in camera. My main purpose for using it is for more real estate for my hands as well as the battery life.

Can you charge batteries in camera with this aftermarket grip
@SeeItLoud5 жыл бұрын
+jeffrey johnson I don’t normally do this, but I can confirm that it will at least charge the battery in Slot 1.

Very informative. The mustache was distracting though. ;P But at least he's helping us not look like a "ding dong".

Does your grip freeze your camera? Mine occasionally freezes and the wasabi power third party batteries don't seem to work with it either. Anyone else have this problem?
@KWSFshow6 жыл бұрын
+Andrew Sim Heyya! For this grip - I only have used the actual Sony Z batteries - but I haven’t had any issues with my camera freezing. The only issues I have had with any grip is for my old Song A7s, where some of my ties party batteries just are not recognized by the grip.... it acts like that bay is empty. What camera are you working with? The a7iii?
@tomd19146 жыл бұрын
Same with me, no freezing problems. I also use the Sony brand batteries in the Meike grip.

Totally agree and lesson learned. This was one of my first videos and the feedback was resounding. I appreciate your constructive criticism! I may even do a quick redo of this video now that I see folks are still looking into this.
