I took the spring from a broken Maverick and just added it to the spring in the original pistol and it shoots an average of 85 fps :D

I got one of the old ones at a garage sale for a buck, and for about 10$ of materials (PVC pipe, springs, hot glue) all stuff you can find at Lowes, you can mod the crap out of this blaster making it shoot very far for something that size. Very good modding potential, I would recommend only if you plan on modding it.

Clear shot because it has more dart holders, a better way of priming, and little laser is useless. But if you cant mod fire strike because chrono avg.

Hey I didn't go threw all the comments so if this is a repeat my bad. I agree with your review that it is not so great of a stock blaster . I got this blaster from my kids as a gift, we have a lot of Nerf wars in my house. I did however open it up and look to see if there was any mod potential. So when I opened it I was very surprised I upgraded the spring very easy the plunger head comes right off. I took out the AR. I decided to redo the barrel with 1/2inch PVC. It worked like a charm. I do not have access to see the FPS but I will tell you it was very impressive. I do like the design and if modding is something your interested in it literally takes about 25min to make this Blaster pretty impressive. We play this Nerf game where you can only use a "One shot Blaster" you have one dart if you get hit you are out and this blaster has been proven true after Mods. I like your reviews though keep up the good work.

dead island Nah, hyperion pistols are okay. Greatest accuaracy along with sniper rifles. Standard Dahl pistols however, have the lowest stats of any pistols. And also the design of this gun reminded me of it.

Hey Coop, does increasing the dart velocity in a springer decrease accuracy? I have a Strikefire that shoots arrow-straight but really slow, and I want an expert's advice before I try doing anything to up the velocity.

Mickey the Luxray At a certain point, yes you can push a dart too fast to the point it's not balanced in the air, decreasing accuracy. However, you won't have to worry about that with the Strikefire because of its limits. If you add a whole lot of power, be sure to tighten the barrel to get a nice pop. A loose barrel and too much power can cause inaccuracy.
