I totally agree on the point you made about the size. We need more bibles in this size. Thank you brother. Nice post

I like the style of this bible, it's amazing, I'm going to buy one, it's very easy to carry anywhere, not heavy, very comfortable. 😊❤, thanks brot for showing this video.

Be warned though. The font size could be too small for some people.

I wish they did this exact Bible without references and in larger font.
@joesbibles56362 жыл бұрын
I think the closest to it is the MacLaren. But that has references and a larger footprint.

Agreed, 8x5 inches is a good size, and it's also a standard book size.
@joesbibles56363 жыл бұрын
Oh, that's what it is - a standard book size!! I think that may be why I love this size for Bibles. The tricky part is font size. At 8x5 in. it's important that the font size doesn't go down to 8 or 8.5. Too small for me.

@@joesbibles5636 My Schuyler Quentel Personal Size NKJV ha sthe outer dimensions of 5 x 7 3/4 inches, and the book block is 4 5/8 x 7 1/8 inches. I like it because it is 9 pt even though Evangelical Bible have it as approximately 8.5...it is more a 9, and I have a visual impairment...can read with only my left eye and this is a lovely bible and read i most at night in bed. However, I have the Cambridge Topaz NKJV as well :-) For me, all bible reading depends on the light, the time of day, and state of tiredness in my eyes. I read the KJV the most but love the NKJV as well. I do reviews of all the bibles I own and of some I've given away. Here's my vid, if you don't mind me linking. If you wish me to remove this link just let me know. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGq2pnqemZuiZ9k

@@artistocracy Let me check out your video and thanks for the additional comment. I love my PSQ and the font size doesn't bother me. I think it's like you said, it all depends on the light, the time of day and level of tiredness in the eyes.

The hinge seems rather stiff, but maybe it will loosen up with use. I like the form factor - that is my Goldilocks size Bible. Thanks for the review Joe!

Thanks for watching, Gary! Yeah the hinge, over time will be loosened up. Also, I love that Goldilocks size. Thats the size for me.

Thanks. I JUST watched your review of the "Flipback" NKJV. Good job with that review of that Bible.

I want one! That spine design is amazing! My only possible gripe with will be the inner margins. It seems that the text has a tendency to fall into the gutter. I wish they’d more the text a little more to the outside since there is still enough outer margin to sacrifice.
@joesbibles56363 жыл бұрын
Honestly, it's not bad at all. Because of the Smyth sewn binding, it will open up. Consider one if you're on the fence.

I love NKJV and HCSB. Which translations do u like, Joe?
@joesbibles56363 жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking! I am daily in 3 translations: ESV, NASB and NIV. I like the NKJV but just have not read through it from Genesis to Revelation.

@@joesbibles5636 i think there is value in all translations, but there are definitely some that one prefers for whatever reasons. I dislike the message (not a true translation) because the Lord's Prayer is New Age??! But i do like the TPT. Somehow it is very poetic and beautiful. I like it for Song of Songs and the Psalms, Proverbs. They plan to release the whole TPT Bibke in 2027 tho!! Long time to wait..

Why don’t they make nkjv verse by verse I could never find a leather Bible verse by verse. Thomas Nelson come on every body prefer verse by verse
@konstantinallinforchrist98672 жыл бұрын
I find VBV bibles completely chop up the text and really hinder my reading experience. That format suggests that each new verse is a new thought and it is more difficult to read in context. It really encourages taking verses out of context aswell. My 2 cents.
@the3rdhokage1482 жыл бұрын
@@konstantinallinforchrist9867 that’s very much your preference but I can tell you that 90% of people prefer vbv even pastors it’s easier to find the verse when preaching
@konstantinallinforchrist98672 жыл бұрын
@@the3rdhokage148 Same goes for you 😉 I just dislike my bible to look like a dictionary or newspaper rather than a book meant to be read. Preaching is pretty much the only use for VBV format. But then again it makes much more sense to preach paragraph for paragraph.
