I got one 3 days ago and I love it. I am using it to prepare my sets for the weekend and It makes preparing your sets more fun. I use turntables and never thought about buying a controller but this is something different.

Been DJ’ing 8 yrs and currently have an ns7 ii. For $80 it serves its purpose, I think ppl being to critical in my opinion. I think its a great controller for pro or beginner to just play around with and will so save your ass if things go wrong at a gig if your a mobile DJ like my self...

I mapped the level knobs in Serato DJ Pro to the combo filter on each side and use the cross fader for blending. Works like a charm.

grollinsmobile That was something I considered too, but decided I’m too clumsy to have filter knobs with no centre click... Definitely a good idea though.

this could be a cool option to buy as an addon-on to another 2 track controller. i have the ddj-RB and i can totally see myself getting this to use as a c&d deck controls to just have extra decks to use if necessary with minimal controls.

It also works with Virtual DJ since nobody mentions it. And on virtual you can scratch with it but when you release it the song drags then jumps back to speed. But it certainly isn't intended for scratching and nobody new to djing should be trying to learn to scratch on this cause it could give you bad habits. Learn on a proper gear. But yea i just love this thing I don't need to break out the full set up to practice mixs or set up cue points and its better than using your mouse.

Idk why but when I’m using serato pro and lite after awhile the audio always cuts off while I’m fading into another track even though I don’t even touch the volume then I have to close the program and open it back up its really frustrating

I have a question about this controller. My wife bought this for me 2 yrs ago for my birthday and I have had issues with the crossfader. When I'm mixing in the other song the volume for the song being mixed in tends to overpower the song I'm blending into if that makes sense. What is the reason for this and can I adjust it? I'm an old school DJ so this equipment and it's functions is really new to me but i want to learn it.

There are many events where your full controller is not needed or you just don't have the space for it. Many times I'm at a smaller bar doing karaoke... and I just don't have the room to have my live sound mixer AND my DDJ Sx2 out. I really don't NEED a full controller either. I might just put out a few mixes between rotations, but DJing isn't the main reason I'm there. In cases like that, mini controllers like this are great... easy to set up and take down also.

When you are at a wake for a 70 year old man and the daughter only wants you to play his country songs and old 70s and 80s music, you're doing a 50th anniversary for a couple.. lots of Sinatra and buble,and on and on. Event DJing and Club DJing are not the same thing though I've seen quite a few 'Event Djs' embarrassingly try to make it so. lol

Jonathan Villalobos it’s their 2.0 update. Everything before was just a 1.2,1.3, etc. this is their newest product. With brand new features like practice mode (Serato product not needed to play two channels).

Jon H The knobs and faders are so low-profile that really you should be able to put it carefully in any bag. I’ve been carrying it around for months with no case.

BlendzGoneWild FX are improved in Pro, mostly the echo side of things.

if you have a good ear you dont need a EQ at all , its eazy if you know your songs backwards and forwards all djs know this .........eq is not the way you mix music that is cheating big time

@@rigomortisfxstudios cheating?.. If your beat matching or mixing nearly. Anything.. You are beat counting.. 1,2,3,4. 2,2,3,4. 3,2,3,4. Etc.. Cheating or not.. Synching or not.. Theres no specific wat you should mix.. Your tunes.. I dont really have a list. Or practice my events.. I just play what they ask me to play and what i feel at the moment..also, i mix both song remove the beat from the old and mix in the beat of the "new"... I hate hearing a crossfade mix.. Etc.. How do you mix.. Aka by not "cheating" jajjaja

this is not a replacement for standard mixing equipment, its a supplement, and addition for lesser work, like track prepping and in other simple tasks. The video does a good job of describing what it is good at and its compromises. You should watch it.
