@@philneitz You can fit that Go Quest to the Q-2 like I said above. What I did is just use some felt or velcro tape to create a space in the side-slide parts to create friction non-slip situation.

After watching the video I ordered one from Ali Express and got it today. The headstrap is comfortable, definitely better than the elite strap i got earlier. There is no pressure on the face and it feels like wearing a hat. The front and back padding is vinyl and the whole thing looks sturdy enough. Quite happy with this purchase.

Hi Phillip head strap finally arrived today just fitted it and wow! This beats the official straps hands down really comfy indeed and at £28.99 inc P&P a real bargain. I can't see this breaking like the official ones have been doing as there's no stress on the centre part as it is hinged. It's a pity Facebook didn't look at these as a cheaper reliable strap for their site. Thanks again for doing the review I share your views on this perfect!

is the halo strap comfortable ? does your head hurt on forehead or in the back ? the halo styled strap should ease the preassure on your face, but I wonder if it hurts somewhere else on the head

Yeah the halo strap is IMO more comfortable than the Elite Strap - The pressure on my face was unbearable. Now I can adjust the halo that the face interface "floats" in front of me :) I imagine it CAN hurt on your forehead, if you've got a bigger head

I just use a single velcro strap on the side to guide the wire back and then simply put the powerbank in my back pocket. The headset looks great. Can't wait for mine to arrive. Being Dutch I traditionally had to choose the cheapest shipping option. ;)

Thanks so much for your nice words! I wish I would be still a "young man" :D Yeah - It's indeed "just" a pressure fit. But because the pressure rests between the back of your head and your forehead, the headset itself gets less pressure, so it can't slide off. When I'm playing BeatSaber or Pistol Whip I have no issues with it "sliding" or "wobbling" around. I also made a comparison video with all available straps with a "wobble and comfort" test included. You need to add the top head strap across the top to keep the Oculus from falling out.

I don't use the headbands because I'm kind of a diva when it comes to my hair :-D But the pressure sits between your forehead and the back of your head IN THE HALO, I can assure you the Oculus will not move on its own :-) I already did that with my Quest 1 GOQUESTVR halo strap this way. Great review. Your English is perfectly fine for the review. I have to say that those with the halo strap for quest 1, you can just use that. I’m sure it’s the exact same moulds being used for these new ones just cast in white rather than that. I didn’t have the rubber to pad where the arms attach so used the soft side of self adhesive Velcro and it works fine. Save money unless you’re concerned about the colour not matching.

Nice review. I have this strap too. It is quite comfortable and I'm very happy with it. However there are two small things that I think it can be improved upon. I tend to tighten it quite a bit when playing and after a session or two, the insertion point may begin to slide off so I'll have to put it back. Another thing is that the hinge is very handy for putting on/taking off the headset, but sometimes my hair get caught in that hinge and will put a hair or two out.

Just got this in today. So far it feels good. Better than the Oculus Elite. Feels more like a Rift-s now. I just hope this item being from China won't break on me. Time will tell, but comfort is great. From what I feel, a counterweight may not be needed. I will be returning the Elite Strap.

Are you not worried about the headset slipping out of those rubber slide clips, seems kinda sketchy that it’s only bled by pressure. Also, the back has a hook for a top head strap it looks like, did yours include one? If anything it would give me comfort in a last resort if the quest tries to slip out of the headband

@@rweisel The headband is included, but I don't like to use it, I never use the headbands if I won't HAVE TO And no - It won't go anywhere, all the pressure is between your back and forehead

@@rweisel The headset itself is fairly light, I don't see it slipping off. The fit so far seems tight. It came with a head strap. I will keep using it and see. So far I like it because it has the familiar comfort of the Rift-s. Less pressure on the eyes for me than the other designs. The Halo fit I think is the best for any headset. The downside is it might not fit all cases because of the size. It looks like its fairy easy to remove though. It does come with a few extra rubber pieces to fit the sides.

Thanks for the review, you are the only one so far I found that made a review for this very specific halo strap, I was afraid to order it since nobody made reviews for it on Amazon (they sell it as well now) so I wasn't confident about buying it but now I know better about this product thanks to your review, I still have doubts as to how more comfortable this is compared to Elite Strap or even better compared to the original strap of the Quest 2... Like how much pressure you feel now on your face (from the face pad) with this Halo strap? And does it decrease the field of view of the Quest 2?

Thank you for watching! You can adjust how much pressure you want on your face by sliding the strap forward or Backwards on the rails. The less pressure - the less FoV... But even with tighter pressure fit, it's still more comfortable because your forehead now takes pressure of your face too, instead only ... Well your face itself 😄

Your English is great, the only thing you could do different is read from a script instead. I don't know what you do in your other videos

You're totally right, it would be more structured and "planned" with a script. I was so excited about this strap and the interest in it, that I just wanted to finish the video for it :) Thanks for your tips - I never used scripts

Great review!! Perhaps the seller should approach you for the video to be used in their product promotion haha. Can I ask if the strap is foldable for smaller storage purpose? (i.e. folding it in half like how the original Halo strap by Beswin VR)

There's next to no difference for me - However you can adjust the halo to move the lenses closer or further away
