I like the looks of the head. I wonder if thinning out the bit would increase performance but maybe decrease edge durability. Thanks for sharing Alex

@@MarkYoungBushcraft there is alot of metal on that axe head. I do believe it could be thinned out without compromising the eshebstability It’s on my to do list

I have a GB 20" forest axe that i absolutely adore except for the price tag, lol. Recently picked up a Beaver Craft Hatchet for my wifes pack, which needs some edge work. I'm curious as to how well the edge will hold up. I added your hatchet to my Amazon list. Looks like a great little project axe with a little work. What are your thoughts on it? Do you think by thinning the edge profile it will still hold a decent edge?

There is plenty of steel behind that edge. I’m pretty confident that you could thin it without compromising the stability of the edge
