I have this machine as well, it's been great! I have not seen any reviews about it yet, only unboxing videos, so thank you for making this. You are correct newer brother machines do not need oiled, the user manual will go over this as well, thanks again!

Do you know the basic differences between the 1609e and the 1700e? I’m thinking just the WiFi capability but is it worth the $500 price difference in your opinion?

Hi Debbie! I use pre-wound bobbins from amazon. I highly recommend when starting out! I am currently starting to transition to Madiera Polyneon thread. Hi Maranda, I just got the basic Embrilliance Essentials package. I noticed that they have stitch artist but that is if you want to create your own designs. Embrilliance Essentials is when you want to edit or merge designs that were already made. Here is the package that I bought: embrilliance.com/product/essentials I hope this helps!

How can you make a full sentence or words next to each other in this machine? Without using a software

Hi Lina. To be honest I haven't experimented that much with the built in designs on the machine but I am pretty sure that you can only do one letter/design at a time. You could always embroider out each letter individually and move each letter so they are next to each other and use the tracing feature to make sure that the letter is where you want it. Embrilliance also has free fonts that you can use as well. Again, let me know if you have any more questions!

Yes you can add multiple lines of text to a design or even add another design right on the machine. It's one of the reasons I upgraded.
