Have you ever considered an upright machine? I'm torn if I need something like this one or a stand up 1 or 6 needle one. But I"m just starting. Don't mind the investment if I just knew I would like doing it. I hope to do more hats than shirts.

Hi! I would highly recommend getting a multineedle. One that stands up. Especially if you're going to do hats!

I have the 1600, it takes 4x4, 5x7 and 6x10. My 2300 takes a ton. From 4x4 to 9x12.

When you buy one of these machines do you have to buy a software program to make designs? Do you have some on machine? Or do you have to buy them from somewhere? Where do you buy your blanks? I have a ton of questions. LoL. Thanks for any help.

I use Sew What Pro for everything. Some designs come on the machine but they are extremely generic and I've never used them. I buy my blanks for ARB Blanks or Blanks Boutique. If I can help let me know!

I just ordered this machine. I have the ve2200. Are the hoops interchangeable? It looks like they are. One large hoop is not enough for me.

They *should* be interchangeable. The 2200 won’t use the 9x12.

Multineedles scare me too!! This one takes a 4x4, 5x7 and a 6x10. It only comes with a 6x10. Weird huh?

Janome 500E comes with 7.9X11, 7.9X7.9, 5.5X7.9, 5.5X5.5 I love mines and use the 7.9X7.9 hoop the most. 😀
