Hey Matthew & Billy not much to say on The Doctor's Daughter haven't seen since 2008 but I definitely remember liking the Hath that's all I'm afraid but loving the conversation and hopefully the next review will be The Three, Five or Two Doctors love all these stories. :-)

on the point of who else could have caused as much excitement on being announced as showrunner, the only other person I know was genuinely in the running (his agent was in talks with the BBC for a while) is J Michael Straczyncsi, which could have been exciting for some nerds (including myself) but probably not immediately exciting for anyone else. although, he did manage to get Babylon 5 trending on twitter, above the queen on the day of her funeral, so who can say for sure

Impressed at how smoothly and fluidly Billy was able to read out that long rambling question I'd put in, that was a lot of words, it sounded a lot more coherent than it might have done if I tried reading that out, and I wrote it. Gosh, I thought my question was a bit over wordy, but that one later on made it seem positively concise by comparison

Great podcast again! To be honest, I don't think Murray Gold will come back. Remember, he didn't just do the RTD era, he also did the Moffat era. He only left 5 years ago, so I think it is unlikely!

I did an essay at uni about race in Doctor Who as part of a media history module. Did a couple of paragraphs on Talons, apparently the more questionable content caused some controversy even at the time. Read and quoted an article from 1980 that was heavily critical of certain production and casting choices.

This isn't a criticism but at this point for me big finish is the main event of doctor who. I'm not too excited about the 60th given its all gonna b 10. I like his Dr but he had his time imo. I honestly don't care about abominable snowmen but I'm looking forward to that more

I would like to see you do an in depth look at 'The Two Doctors'. Save 'The Five Doctors' for your 50th ep, or an appropriate anniversary. Lots of people will have just seen it as it is in the latest Colin 'utter legend' Baker Collection Blu-Ray set. Plus you get some Pat Troughton which is always a joy. Oh and please will you go the whole hog 😉 and wear Androgum orange eyebrows? Go on guys... you know you want to 😁

This one never gelled with me. The Doctor, not consenting, being violated by just having his DNA stolen, and then being chastised the whole episode for not wanting her? And the episode is clearly trying to say he's in the wrong for feeling that way, expecting him to accept the responsibility of being a father. Bit victim blaming, that, directly analogous to having a go at a mother who doesn't want the rape baby

They fumbled and wasted the concept of the Doctor as a parent. They then proceeded to exaggerate the significance of the episode, because that's what PR does, but in hindsight it made it even more disappointing.

I don't care about any bollocky BF audios - as far as I'm concerned, Jenny's rocket ran out of oxygen and she suffocated. Oh shame. 😁 The pre-publicity really milked who Jenny might be - then the episode started and she's just some crap clone - I've never turned against an episode so fast. Georgia gives such an irritating performance of a tedious character. 😤 That and the production is appalling - a shitty crumbling theatre is not a brand new colony waiting to come to life. I love Freema but she's pretty terrible in this story - she's really forcing the tears. Donna's really irritating here - too smug. Tennant... 😒 Conceptually it's a reasonable idea even though they don't sell it. Thankfully the rest of series 4 was so much fun after this that it erased much memory of it.
