I dug for change here in Houston to buy this album. So glad she made this album

Album of the year for me. Nobody hears music and filters music into her own world the way Kim does. I adore her!

Have you heard City Lights by The Waeve? Definitely another contender for one of the best albums of 2024. We are spoiled by the great music from these wonderful artists.

@ Yeah I’m a big fan of Graham Coxon and his partner Rose is great too. Absolutely loved “Moth To A Flame”. 👌

This album has been a long time coming, but I sensed Kim only wanted to release it when she was ready and when she was happy with it,but have to say it was worth the wait,it gets better with each play,it really is a great album, she is a great songwriter and guitarist and her voice is amazing,'Crystal Breath' is a standout track for me (Matt)

Nice review But a little mistake. You said There goes my mind. It's Where is my mind. I'm sure that was just a little flub. What a brilliant debut by her. The sound is tremendous. Her lyrics are fascinating and that voice is angelic. She sounds like someone one third her age. She looks great as well. She looks healthy which is important. Finally I'd love to know if that bird is real or animation. It looked so real until it started dancing. The relationship between her and the bird is fascinating. She uses hand gestures which lead me to believe the bird understands and reacts, it has to be animation. If real it's amazing. This is a true masterpuece of an album. It really is diverse with shades of surf, country, punk and pop. I only hope she gets more recognition because the numbers are surprisingly low. Anyway thanks for the review. You nailed it.

This album is in my Top 25 for the year, although Kim Deal sounds as if she is singing to me from the far-end of a length of pipe. However, the arrangements and the songwriting are brilliant.

Don’t like it. Love the Pixies though but that was because of their incredible songwriter Charles Thompson.
