Thanks so much for watching my video and leaving such a kind comment - i always get nervous close to uploading in case my content's too boring & babbly so it helps a lot to know you enjoyed it. Yes i try to be honest and i try to only buy what i genuinely love/want to keep wearing until i'm 80 and senile haha - it's very tempting to buy just for the sake of having something new to show but that's so dangerous financially. The birkin quality is top notch but i really struggle to use it :( For example i bought mine more than 3 months ago and still haven't taken it out yet!! Especially coz it's hot Australian summer and we're all in flip flops and T-shirts haha. Take care and look forward to seeing you again :) Next month is bag care if that interests you!

Another great video very honest and I formative... it is refreshing to hear genuine opinion about these luxury items because the truth is they are not all perfect indeed. Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean we don’t still adore them... I like your lengthy videos because it is always food for thoughts... Very nice collection! I love watching videos with variety in brands and not so much all the same brand. You will love the Bottega Veneta handbag. I have 4 of their handbags and a large accessory collection. Their medium Roma is my all time travel handbag. And the craftsmanship is impeccable! Gosh, I really love your videos and the amount of detail you go into. Have you considered the YSL Sac De Jour in cognac for your camel tone bag? It is such a lovely, classic shaped bag- I just watched LuxMommy's video of her pre-loved one in cognac and it is stunning, I'm considering adding one too as I want a classic bag I can use for work that isn't too flashy and holds everything I need including my lunch lol. Hey JoChar your trip to Japan is perfect, they really are a goldmine when it comes to the preloved luxury market! Yes i'm sure you'll find the Le Dix around - it's just a bit hard finding one where the leather hasn't bulged over time as the bag structure is quite clean and needs to be stuffed correctly to protect it. I totally agree about purchasing different types of bags because I believe in having varieties in my bag and slg collections like you do! 👍 Right now, I want to add the Diorrama, Fendi peekaboo, Hermès Birkin, Louis Vuitton alma bb, Chanel jumbo bag, Prada and Celine bags to my collection but deciding what color and hardware is what’s stopping me from making a purchase and of course the purchase price. Glad we see eye to eye on maximum style diversity :) Choosing colour and hardware is always tricky - some bags i have very fixed preferences but with others i try to be flexible depending on what sale opportunities pop up ;) Maybe it'll be easier as you keep adding bags by narrowing down what you already have so you can be more and more specific on what colour is missing from your wardrobe. Hi Nirvana thanks so much for watching and taking the time to share your thoughts! I find the Herbag a great idea (2 looks! Interchangeable design!) and also quite practical since the bag enclosure material tends to be hardwearing/low maintenance. However it looks very casual which isn't where my tastes lie. In the same way i haven't be drawn to H sandals because they're again a casual style - it really comes down to what your lifestyle & tastes are. Yes it's easier to be offered a B or K if you have a long standing reputation with Hermes but my Birkin was my actually my first ever H purchase! So there are definitely ways to get around the system :) I uploaded a video explaining how i did it if you're interested. Nicely done and I love the Bulgari! I agree, a well priced, very comfortable bag that's easy to use is perfect. I'm interested in a vintage Chanel mini square but keep hesitating...not sure why. I also like the Gucci Marmont super mini, a little crossbody is all I need for most day to day activities and the Chanel might be a bit of overkill. Enjoyed the points you made about each bag and hope you find your perfect brown bag. The Saint Laurent Sac De Jour in cognac is a gorgeous brown/tan color.

I'm glad you approve of the Kelly and you're totally right - a size 28 for my height and my dream mid-tone brown (camel) would fill the massive hole in my collection!! The Valentino spike bags are all quite spectacular but i would be worried that the metallic leather may compete or dull the decorative rockstuds? I agree with you that the poudre colour tone - with the shiny rockstud hardware - is the most elegant and timeless combo. I am having the same issue with my saffiano, I ended up covering some of the hardware with clear nail polish which stopped the weathering. I love the lightness and color of the bag, such a great neutral.

I replaced the hardware almost a year ago and now i can see it's starting to tarnish again...:( Clear nail polish is probably the best solution! CMK is probably not supported by Prada, but it helps. At least I know that it was not a defect with my bag or the fact that I live in Seattle, where it’s mostly wet all year long. Before I added nail polish coat, I tried buffing the tarnished piece of hardware with a tiny bit of sterling silverware polish, which removed a bit of the tarnish without damaging the golden coating. The polish prevented more tarnish. I didn’t think of sending it to Prada, which I should have done in the first place. Thank you for sharing your video.

Thank you. The vintage beige vertical flap is stunning and it’s in very good condition since it’s caviar. I agree with you I’m very disappointed with Chanel’s new policy regarding servicing older bags. But over here in the USA there is the Leather Surgeons. A lot of the ladies on the Purse Forum swears by them. They send their Chanel’s and Hermes to them. That’s where I’m planning on sending my vintage Chanel’s to when it needs some TLC. I used to own the Furla Candy bag in pink too, but with my growing collection, I had to let go of it too, I re-sold it on ebay but I like that I can use it on a rainy day. I do understand what you mean because the inflated price now is absolutely ridiculous and - when i saw it brand new in store the other week - the quality looked terrible! If Chanel still produced bags with the level of craftsmanship as their vintage pieces, you could justify what you're buying. But now with the lowered quality...i do agree that the price tag is more for the image/recognition than anything else. I feel that my 8K USD Stefano Ricci is the one you would enjoy (if it were a Kelly) as it is rather light, very comfortable to carry around, comes with a gorgeous shoulder strap, black on gold hardware, handmade 100 percent finest leather, and made one at a time and in exclusive quantity. I feel that you neeed a Kelly instead of a Birkin as you like option. I would not get a bag if it is only handle, and no shoulder strap as sometimes I would like hands free or heavy to carry around.

It ultimately is what you want when you look for a bag. An expensive bag like Birkin would not be used a lot if it is too heavy and too big and not versatile for occasion. Same goes for an affordable bag. I carry around my Stefano Ricci bag all the time and it feels so light and luxurious and I am happy to carry around in most occasion. Sometimes I do carry to coffee shops for lunch too. I would suggest to get a Kelly 25 or 28 or 30 and sell this bag at a great price. No point no using an expensive bag and storing it in a dust bag collecting dust. It wouldn't sit well with your conscience.

Hi Cris thanks for taking the time to offer me some great advice - yes you're totally spot-on with the issues i have with my Birkin and why i rarely use it despite wanting to! I am a huge fan of detachable shoulder bags for that extra versatility in a busy life so yes the Kelly is very much more of my dream bag than the Birkin i was offered (yet i'm also aware of how frustrating the Kelly top handle bag clasp can be to open/close so that may kill me over time!). Kelly 25/28 are definitely the sizes i'm after for my frame :) The only reason i haven't rushed to sell my Birkin is that i do love the thought of owning something so difficult to buy, and the fact that it can be inherited by my children - hopefully if they're taller than me they will use it more often!

Hi-5 to us both not being native speakers - i was actually born overseas and then emigrated to Australia with my parents when i was 4 :) I agree with you that smart casual is very confusing..!! I'll try my best with this but apologies if i don't explain it well. I see it as styled 'effortlessly' - you don't look like you tried too hard (high heels, necktie) yet you're not so casual that you'll look out of place in a nice bar or if you wanted to pop into Chanel/Hermes/Dior etc or pop into your workplace to grab something on your day off. It's funny that just a few small changes make all the difference in signalling smart casual eg. tailored clothing instead of loose, nice accessories, closed shoes for men etc. Generally clothes remain simple in design but flattering on your body. So you know how casual looks like you didn't try at all with your outfit? (You're just comfortable and clean) And formal looks like you spent hours getting ready? So smart casual is where you look nice but like as if it didn't take you any time or effort at all...Does that help to explain it?

That’s a good point to share about the McQueen, and not being able to wear rings and carry it at the same time (of course that’s the whole point of the design) but should you put the bag down and not want a bare hand, you need a spare ring from somewhere.

Hey there Cathy thank you for stopping by and sharing an interesting question! I think it's great that you have your favourite brands and stand by them even if the rest of society doesn't seem to value them as much. With Loewe, i believe it's really being fast-tracked to near mainstream popularity! Just give it a few more years and another IT bag as the catalyst. Even though it's such an ancient brand, i think the slow international fame is because it only changed ownership to LVMH recently (same conglomerate that owns LV, Dior etc etc) and LVMH started to ramp up the international presence of the brand in about 2011 - prior to that Loewe really just stuck to Europe. For example here in Australia, i only knew about Loewe last year, can you believe that?! For Ferragamo, it seems that anyone who owns it understands the appeal - quality, comfort, reliability - but for those who don't own it, they're not seduced into trying it because Ferragamo isn't in popular culture (the way Gucci, Chanel is etc), it doesn't spend on extravagent marketing (like LV etc) and generally, i find their designs more on the conservative, classic side. Nothing too unusual, too exciting, too risky. Ferrgamo shoes were groundbreaking when the brand started but in my opinion today, they don't really lead in new bag or shoe ideas...is that the sense you get? The seller email me an invoiced that was MORE than what the item was listed. (approx. $135 USD) more. When question about the additional charges...seller said "Payment from oversea is need commission." Do you have any idea what that means or can they even charge "commission"? Thank you!

I have to admit i have never used Rakuten Global Market before but generally third party platforms will charge either the buyer or seller some sort of service fee eg. Ebay charges sellers 10% commission on the sale price. I'm assuming in this case, maybe Rakuten charges the buyer rather than the seller, or both? If it's in the terms and conditions i presume you can't argue against it...They seem to be professional and long operating so i presume it is a legitimate charge. Hope you can work this out! These nasty surprises are very frustrating :(

i don't like to criticize, I think your reviews are fair except for the fact that you give mediocre reviews in regard to the color of your bags. You obviously realize the color when you're buying it.
