Good review Jake, fractions are good but most people only go as small as the 16ths.😊

Exactly, I had a long bit where I was talking about that but I edited it out because I thought it might be a bore for many people. When I worked in carpentry we never measured finer than 16ths. We would sometimes say "3/16ths minus" if it was just shy of that or "3/16ths plus" if it was just a tiny bit thicker.

Just bought my first eafengrow . Why because Benchmade and Spyderco have gone insane with there prices over the last ten years so no more money from me . These eafengrow and ganzo knives are sweet

Eafengrow always lies about what steel they use. Lee at LuvThemKnives has had 8 Eafengrow knives tested and none of them had the steel they claim. their D2 is 8Cr13MoV, but at the price it is a good knife even with that steel. I just don't understand why they have to lie. PS - I did not have all this information when I made the video, but I have it now.

Hello cce I think the weight of the product is important, can you weight the products in the videos of cce? This is because the manufacturer's published weight differs from the actual weight.

I measure each knife for exactly that reason. The measurements that I give in the video are my own measurements for both length and weight.

Cool. I did a video on that knife late last year. I hope I can get more CIVIVI knives on this channel.

Cutting pants, I hate when that happens. Cool EDC blade, but the execution...meh. I hope this is just a rare occurrence with Eafengrow and the next knives are better executed. Thanks for sharing, Jake.

They are predominantly a re-brander company so I hate to say it but I expect to see this type of thing fairly often from EF, which is the main reason why I have not reviewed a lot of them.

Probably not worth reviewing if you feel they arent being truthful about their steel....but good effort my friend., not worth a buy for me...thanks for being honest about the quality...thats why I love your channel!

Integrity is important to me and that only comes from being honest. If I didn't review it then people wouldn't know that there are questions about the knife - that is one of the reasons pretty much every knife is worth reviewing. I don't review in order to make sales happen. If people do buy I do certainly like it when they use my links but that is a side benefit and not a reason for the video.

Definitely don’t need the fractions. They are only really used in building when you’re using rulers or tape measures. And even then, I’ve never seen anyone talk about anything other than 16ths. Maybe a drill bit in 32nds. You are obviously using a digital calipers so thousands (decimal) is fine. Even at that, I don’t think anyone would be upset if you told us it was a 3.4” blade when it was really a 3.406” blade. There are no “rounding police” out here! They’re all over on Advanced Knife Bro’s channel.

You are not quite right about the "rounding police", they do exist, not in real but in the minds of some strange people. I have gotten all sorts of emails and comments from people who are extremely particular about the strangest things. In fact, it was partly in response to one of those people that I did this video this way, to show them how silly it is, but I didn't want to rant against them in the video so I just made it look like a normal video.

Caged bearings for $17? WOW!! They should've heat treated that D2 better or be completely transparent with what the steel actually is. Another possibility is that they over heated the edge when sharpening.

If your going to do imperial measurements in fractions, it is only going to be the Americans that worry about it, so just round it up or down to the nearest sixteenth of an inch, it will be close enough for most of them! I'm typical UK generation X, think in imperial, work in metric!

Hey if I was you I'd be extremely careful buying that brand knife they buy the cheapest knives they can and then they just put their logo on them there Steel has been tested more than once and it's fake it's it's all fake and just watch out man I'm telling you I've had my experience with them those knives are not worth the time of day

I am a reviewer. Therefore I buy what the market has so that I can tell viewers what they are like. It isn't my goal to only buy good knives at all. My goal is to buy what is out there and then let people know how good or bad it is.
