Thanks, I just ordered the larger chair based on this review, and your discount code still works. Saved me a tenner.

Happy days. Yes the discount is an ongoing thing for any chair, sleep pads or tables. You won’t be disappointed. The newest versions are that little bit better too. Comfy and pretty compact. Tenner in your pocket is better than someone else’s 👌🏻💷

Nice. It’s a great little chair, that is way more supportive than in looks. I have used it for a 3 day camp and comfy throughout. Enjoy 👌🏻

Great review! I also bought the old one, and need this comparison. Now I want to get the new chairs, especially the one with two cup holders.

Thank you. The small differences make all the difference. The biggest for me is the splits in the chair material. It makes the seat feel even more comfy. The new one is good and the great thing is, you can have your current one as a back up 👌🏻

Good review! I warn anyone that goes hiking/Backcountry camping that is willing to try taking a highback with them. Don't. You'll never go back to the mini lites. That being said. Worth while in my opinion. 1.5lbs extra for the comfort is worth it.
@thebikepackingadventurer

Thanks. Yes I take comfort over saving grams usually. It’s more about space in however I carry gear mostly. As I’m a big guy the weight doesn’t affect me much, but everyone is different. Due to the accident I was in, sitting in a decent chair in the evening to recover/rest I like. If I have room I take the bigger chair, if not the smaller one comes with me. Both are comfy. Multi day trips comfort and sleep are my priority, whereas just a single overnight camp I’m not too bothered usually

Looked at the helinox beach chair but at the 2 price points the smaller chair in your video looks to do the same job. Have you used it on sand yet?
@thebikepackingadventurer
@thebikepackingadventurer Жыл бұрын
Yes I have used it on sand. It does dig in a bit as expected on loose sand, but the feet are good in sand. The rubber ends to the legs can be removed so to stop them coming off in mud or sand I took them off and added a dab of superglue to mean they can’t come off at all. They are on tight, but best to secure them fully. There is a video on here from someone else that made a canvas square that sits under the legs which stops the chair digging in the sand at all. Good little hack. Here’s the link kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZzGeaGDnaqqkNU

Are the drink holders big enough for the can/bottle with a cooler on?
@thebikepackingadventurer
@thebikepackingadventurer Жыл бұрын
A can is basically the same size as the holder, but as a bottle is smaller it would just fit in with a koozie on. Although in the uk it’s rare we need one as not hot enough to worry about. Where are you from?

Hi watch your review do you think they can hold the weight up to 150kg. Do the feel s sturdy enough.
@thebikepackingadventurer
@thebikepackingadventurer Жыл бұрын
I think they would hold 150kg no problem, but would depend on the dimensions of the person fitting in it I guess. They are solid though. If you are considering buying, not sure another chair would be stronger that I know off. Discount link in description of you do 💪🏻

The small chair is my most used chair, as it packs down way smaller. The larger Highback chair with arms tends to stay in my van

Look quality....except the feet, no good on a groundsheet or footprint?
@thebikepackingadventurer
@thebikepackingadventurer Жыл бұрын
The feet have large rubber stoppers to stop them digging in. Most of these type of chairs have a rubber cap to stop mud going up the tubes, whereas these have 40mm round feet to stop digging in. Should imagine no issue on a footprint as long as not constantly shuffling around. I should’ve done a close up of the feet to be fair, as they are better than any other chair I have used so far

@@thebikepackingadventurer Good point, and I did see them in your excellent film, but some chairs, even my cheapy Aldi one, have a mat base, that also spreads the load on sand and no probs at all on any groundsheet?

The main difference is pack size but both are comfy and supportive. If I go bikecamping I take the small one to save a lot of space, hiking or van camping I take the big one as not struggling for space

The problem is with kilos is made in china not in America !
@thebikepackingadventurer
@thebikepackingadventurer 2 ай бұрын
99.9% of things in this world are made in China, so not a bad thing, unless you are a full patriot and only buy american things I guess. There are better out there, but for me nothing beats it for the money for comfort that I have tried, but that is not saying there isn't a better offering out there
