I have a 2017 Bourbon burst flame Maple top Korean version with Zebra pick ups and a labeled truss rod cover. Awesome guitar for the price that I got it during a local retailers sale here in AU. Intonation is fine yet I would have preferred an adjustable bridge and getting a drop in replacement is disappointingly almost 1/3 what I paid for the guitar.

That is true the original PRS parts are very expensive. Maybe you can find a used one on Ebay?

It's so bizzare to me that they made a guitar that you can't intonate. Boggles the mind. I'm looking at one right now, but thankfully it's got the bridge sattles

I have long been a advocate for the PRS SE models. I have owned 4 used Tremonti USA models off reverb in the $2k range and they are fantastic looking, playing, and sounding guitars (53/10)(Tremonti) pickups. Then i wanted to get another one and put the USA Tremonti pickups in it so i found a used SE Tremonti for $500 and purchased it. I can honestly say that the SE guitars are so close in feel and playability they are hard to ignore in the $700 price range. They are a spectacular value of an instrument. I currently still own the SE Tremonti and sold the USA model to fund another PRS SC58 and that guitar is so inspiring and fun and effortless to play i cant put it down 57.08 pickups are a dream to my ear anyway. Bottom line PRS is the best value on either end of the price spectrum in my opinion. I have owned many high dollar guitars and while Tom Anderson, John Suhr and others put out a fantastic product its just hard to beat the PRS SE models for value....my 2 cents!

Thank you for your comment. I have to sell my les Paul classic and want another singlecut to replace it. If You say its that good, I'll definitely have to try one. I'm debating between the zebra wood se 24 or this se 245.

I used to have one of the first Korean SEs--a Singlecut with P90s--an excellent guitar. I have now got an Indonesian made SE Standard 245 and honestly it is just as good.

Whats the overall length of the SE 245 guitar ? I thought its supposed to be short scale. Are they referring to the scale length or the overall length?
@addictedtogear5 жыл бұрын

Is it me, or have these Korean models gone up dramatically in price?
@valueofnothing24875 жыл бұрын
@@JaxWatchesandEDC I think some too close to 1,000. I just bought a somewhat ugly ibanez "SG" for $200. It is fantastic. Couldn't put it down. Better that my $350 Epiphone SG 400.. Probably not as great action as the SE, put completely playable, low and great.

It depends on what you want. If you want a no doubts top of the line instrument that is a every night gigger that will maintain value and be worth leaving to your children as a family heirloom... Then save your money and get the real deal american made prs. If you just want a banger for your weekend cover band that works great and is close enough then yes the se is a great option. Personally i only want to own one guitar that i play everyday and is essentially a 3rd arm that hopefully my grand kids one day love and want to play. If all you are concerned about is playability then yes its hard to justify the extra money and the se's are great. Best at the price range id imagine. Im just tired of bangers i guess.

The only thing I can say is watch your solders. Just bought a SE Standard and the solders look like they were done by a 5 year old. Literally had to return the guitar, and am now waiting for my 245

What about the Indonesian versions in 2020 PRS SE 245
@hanovergreen4091 Жыл бұрын
Indonesia produces outstanding quality. Better than some US makers. Bad days are looong gone. PRS has gone to extreme lengths to ensure the Indonesian SE's are equal to American made except for the changes to materials and carves, etc that lower the price. I only buy SE's because their quality is so good and I have no desire to drop thousands on a guitar I can get 90+% close to for $500-$1K. Best Regards!
