Yeah I'm going to order it, I dont give a damn about the RGB junk or how much noise there is, my towers go on a shelf in the basement, I don't see or hear them unless I actually go down to the room they are in. Its cooler in the basement and with 4 big dogs- down in the basement the towers stay cleaner too. I dont care for the Corsair 3000D I just got, and I don't really like how you have to undo thumb screws just to open the side, it just needs a LATCH!

neet case, but intimately it's just another black square box! i wish they'd bring back the crazy supertowers like the Kandalf and stuff, but with the modern ATX layout! I'm still liking my Phanteks Evolv X case... just built my second build in this case...it's got a unique look, and functional airflow and all that. but i think my next build (in 5-8) years will be one of these jobbies with fans below the GPU, i like that a lot. maybe Phanteks will remake and update the Evolv X like that! great video man!

I was a product development engineer at Alienware and Velocity Micro, I've had my fair share of odd looking cases, problem with them is they usually have HORRENDOUS cooling and large pockets of hot air they can't relieve, than Phanteks does look nice though. A very detailed review. Thanks for all the work you put into this as it helps out a lot since I'm checking it out for my new build. I was wondering a few small things. Is it possible to control the fan speed without using one of those fancy controllers from Corsair? They were quite loud in some instances but you did mention they will be fixed. However i do like to tinker a little since its generally super hot where i live (35 to 40 degrees celsius). One more thing, can you change the fan colour preset only via the io panel or can you also change it using a software? I've never owned an ARGB case before so i'm a little confused regarding this matter. Thanks again!

yes, you can use the controller (which should be fixed now) or a 4 pin fan header on your motherboard. I don't personally use the presets, it makes me feel like I don't have control haha, but you can use the software your motherboard provides for RGB control, if your board has ARGB. This video will help you build and cable manage it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnqXlmmprJWgm9E and I walk you through it nice and easy. If it hasn't been fixed on the case, you can connect the 4pin fans to the motherboard or buy another controller, or talk with Montech and they should be able to help you replace it. Appreciate all the work! As for the motherboard supporting ARGB, how do i know if it supports ARGB? I find mobos that say they support RGB but they never really mention anything about ARGB. So I was wondering like do they automatically support ARGB if it says they support RGB in the specifications. Sorry for so many questions. I'm trying not to mess things up this time around haha.

The second fan would not be doing much, it has a little room, but not enough I would say to be significant.

excelent video as usual. just one thing, this case comes with a 6 hub fan on the back. If i want to put another fan on the botton and 3 on top does the montech triple fan pack (wich comes with a 6 hub fan) , be connect to the hub that comes with the case so that i can connect all of the fans and sync all of them? I want to put an air cooler instead of a aio

Thanks so much my friend, yes, you can connect which ever fan you like to the hub and control them all through there, just make sure that you have the fan hub connected to where you would like to monitor PWM so that those fans can be controlled correctly. Yeah and air cooler would work perfectly here, just make sure you plug it into the CPU Fan header ;)

you don't need hub, but you can add one if you like, you can get a cable like this off of my Amazon Affiliate link which will allow you to connect 3 fans into 1 PWM fan header, most boards have about 3 PWM fans headers: geni.us/MQH5o But to be sure, what is the manufacturer and model number of you motherboard?

How “loud” would you describe this case as? Especially in full power, as I can’t seem to tell from the video, in the video it sounds extremely loud. I’m about to build this case with 5600X and RX 6800 with a 360mm AIO on the top, would you recommend me this case? (My room is around 20c when air cooled and around 27-30c when air cooler is off). I am also planning to install an extra intake fan on the bottom.

You did not get my question It was more inline with installing 2 fans at bottom so we can match number of intake and exhaust fans. In the other video you did install one that comes with case and I cannot find where did you talk about negative air pressure due to more intakes than exhaust

Yes, but because of the case layout, its hard to test negative vs positive, the way I see it though, maybe I am missing it, regardless the layout seems to work well, I think maybe the 140mm vs 120mm helps, though I can't say how much. As for 360 vs 240, what CPU are you thinking to use?

Hello Can the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 fit on top? It's not 27mm but 37mm thick, plus the fans.

For EVGA, the one in this video, listed in the description, the radiator is 27mm with the fans it is 52mm, the case will give you 55mm of clearance. The Arctic that you are referring to, that I didnt use in this video, won't fit as the radiator is 38.25mm and with the fans is 62.43mm measure with my digital caliper zeroed out.

No not at all, you would cause the fans to work harder and provide less airflow overall since the fans would not be able to reach as far. You are free to try it of course.

Hi mate would this case be good for my pc? I've got a powercolor red devil 6700xt, a Ryzen 7 5800x and an arctic liquid freezer ii 240. My current case seems cramped 😅

this case would be great, the only downside is that not all of the fan hubs work, meaning they may be at 100%, like it was in this video, maybe, since this is how it was when I reviewed it, they said it would be fixed in production but many have said they still have the issue. I think it may be that they are not setting that particular header to pwm in the BIOS, but I can't say for sure, but I love the case.

Thats rough bud, but they sell them for a while, don't worry about the PC though, newer cases come out all the time, I have 3 more cases in the queue to review, there will be better, there will be worse, take care of #1, take care of yourself first then you can worry about everything else.

I doutb full power but I had the system consuming almost 700 watts when stressing the system. Also we have air conditioning and the house was at 63 degrees f

The sensible thing to do is limit it to 75-80% that way you get 95+% performance but with a dramatic power drop.

Make sure the controller is connected to a PWM fan header on the motherboard and set that fan header to PWM in the BIOS and then make sure your ambient temperature is as low as mine, you have to match a lot of things.

Hi Iggy not sure if this is right place to put this.I installed a samsung 2tb samsung 970 evo plus.It shows up as c drive on this pc and original ssd shows as d drive but trying to use samsung magician it shows unknown is represented in nvme driver.Indevice manager it shows up under disk drives but doesn't show up under storage controllers.It also won't let me download samsung nvme driver.Both original and samsung drives have the same files should I remove original ssd.cheers Mark

A little final note for the moment. This eyesight thing I have called macular degeneration.
