I was blown away with the performance given the terrain and the legal power limit of 0.5 Watt. These sets, with true line of site, will work over 10 miles plus, I've put this to the test. Thanks for the video and your exertion to bring it to us.

These are only 0.5 watts. Get some Bao Feng 5W or 8W they easily go several times further

Your always going to get decent coverage over line of sight, but a couple of buildings in the way and they are completely useless, 500mw just doesn't cut it, its a shame licensing permitted 1-2 watts and you would get half a chance, agree Baofeng UV-5R Amazon £25 each
