Great looking build. My friend that was at the Oklahoma match you went to has been bugging me to get into this as well. I can't afford to build another rifle for Hunter and I'm really focused on learning the RPS game now and getting confident enough to do a fully sanctioned match soon. I have been having some Kestrel headaches the last few matches, but I think I figured it out. Mostly user error of course, lol. Good to see the full rig, Rick! Have a great week!!

Thanks chadkelly I appreciate after you get PRS down you will really enjoy this style match.

@IY6C Yeah, it does look like it will add a whole extra challenge. I was never that interested in hunting like my brother and dad, so I didn't look into this much before. But, I can see how it'd be fun in a different way than the PRS stages. I'm about to do my 8th match Sunday. Been getting 52-60% hit percentage, my goal is upper 70s before I try a full, pro level match. I have to take a day off work, and I hate missing work 🤣 So I want to make sure I'm ready and will do decently my first time. These local matches have been great to learn and they are on Sundays when I'm off work!! Always trying to get 1 to 2 specific skills worked on between the matches. I think I've been doing well learning this quickly. Have a good evening!!

I have the Seekins havoc in a 7 mm , have yet to shoot it. It’s been too hot here to do so. I’m going to be shooting it alongside a fierce rogue 7 mm PRC . so we’ll see, which is better as soon as it cools down . But I would say both guns are extremely nice. The Seekins bolt action is the smoothest action I have ever encountered, and the fierce rogue has to be the lightest gun for the caliber that I have. I am very excited and anxious to shoot both as soon as possible.

How did the 7 mag shoot? Seriously been considering buying one.

@ still have not shot it. I am using a 7 mm prc at the moment im in Virginia. For a couple days. It a fierce rogue. I can let you know how it does

I have the Seekins Havak PH2 in 7 PRC. It’s easily a .75- .5 MOA rifle all day long. And if someone better than I is shooting it I’m sure it would easily be sub .5 MOA. The build quality is superb and Seekins customer service is second to none!

Great looking rifle Rick. I have never heard of this brand of rifle until you bought one. How is that throw lever spelt? Do you know if they make them for Nightforce NXS scopes? Cheers 🍻 🍻

If you were ready to drop 3000.00 on your dream scope which one would it be? Would you get a high dollar scope or the havoc hitt pro??? Love your vids respect opinion. Thanzs

I think glass is just as important if not more. Scope depends if you have weight restrictions. My favorite scope is the vortex razor gen 3 6x36 but won’t make weight it’s to heavy for this style match. On my Rimfire and center fire prs rifles that’s what I run.

How does the action compare to tikka or bergara? I tried the ph2 at scheels and I wasn’t impressed with the action but maybe it gets better or maybe it needed some oil
@IY6C7 ай бұрын
The tikka is smooth as silk after some rounds Bergara comes in last of three but the ph2 after some use is pretty dang good

Just picked one of these up yesterday and I agree. It’s a little sticky and gets hung up a little at first. Cleaned it and shot 20 rounds through it and it’s already much better.

Since when are the Vortex Razors not a quality scope? Sometimes it's better to just close your mouth if you don't know what you are talking about.

@TheInsaneatheist have you shot matches with weight restrictions? Have you looked through vortex razor line? What glass do you prefer?
