Great piece of gear, I have been looking for something like this. The right balance of concealment and retention. I agree those serpa holsters are dangerous for duty use. Even in a administrative capacity things can happen.

I personally would not wear the holster shown for concealment. I prefer in the waistband holster for that. For my IWB, I wear Tenicor

Have you used (or handled) the level 3 serpa duty holster? It has thumb activated top hatch similar to safariland. Also index finger latch on tigerguard, like regular serpa (but thicker polymer). I feel very secure using it in close proximity to others and also feel very confident it will not break free under almost any circumstances unless the thumb AND index saftey are deactivated. I would bet I could be picked up by my pistol withouth risk of my holster failing.

I have a holster that is a quick draw due to working in dark conditions I don`t have to time fumble with that type of holsters due people carrying machetes, knifes, bats, pipes. We just had a young guy killed right outside of one of are accounts a war zone out here.

What I don’t like about T1C holsters (Centurion / Mora) is that the retention is just based on the lever. If you have your lever down, and you don’t have the retention cranked. The gun can and will fall out if you eat shit. The release also can gum up and not release upon hitting it. On the flip side, I also had my lever releasing on its own way too often. I switched my T1C OWB holsters to Safariland 6360RDS’s. It’s a level 3 holster but you can scale it down to a level 2. Full overt carry for exposed firearm so I can use a level 2/3 . But anything else concealed appendix You have to manually move the lever and hood and It keeps the gun locked in and regardless of if the lever/hood is up or down - you have to hit the release to pull the firearm. It is a much safer holster for duty use. Might I also add the hood covers your optic for extra protection. This matters more for guys running open emitter dots on their guns. T1C does make the best IWB holsters > We gotta run some drills together my man

I have tried to replace my Safariland. Nothing and I mean nothing came close. I have a Blackhawk duty holster - too bulky for me. The T1C as shown will only be used as an “administrative” holster. As for gumming up, I had that happen to a Safariland after 7 years of service. Quick lube fixed it

The only issue I had with mine was it marred the shit out of my glock. I ended up removing the RElease Mechanism and it works great now.

@@blackarmorer Thanks for the info. Sorry, I don’t do IG. I’m a long time LEO and an SO in my off duty life. Sean’s badge looks great and looks like a custom seal at the center. I use a generic LAPD style oval with Security Officer on it as my go to badge when I do my security work.

When I was young & dumb, I wasted a lot of $$ on duty gear. After years of never using most of that duty gear, because I'm not a cop & don't make citizens arrests. I'm not spending $90 when a $35 holster will due. I've also learned to use OC spray quicker before the BG has a chance to get to me. Oh putting a $90 holster on a cheap, crappy acker belt. I'd rather put a Serpa holster on a Wilderness Tactical Instructors belt with a polymer lined stiffener. I got a belt & holster for what you paid for a holster alone. I got a whole box of leather duty gear including a Safariland SS 70 III for a S&W M586 I never carried, don't own the revolver any more either. I'm not going to have a box of nylon duty gear. I learned my lesson.

My Safariland RDS holster was 2-250. This T1C is NOTHING on the wallet in comparison

@@doug-a-tron clearance makes sense and can be a good move. I’m just willing to pay for new in bag I’m the only that’s ever touched it, thus I know it’ll work, etc., etc…
