I’m surprised they say that the Comintern win 25% of the time. A group of us play this all of the time and the Comintern still hasn’t won a game on V4 or V4.1. I do agree that these are much better than the V4 ones.

I've played 10 games of GW36 v4 or v4.1. Of those 10, I've played USSR 3 times. I did lose all three, but really could have won any of them. I lost by 1 victory point each time. One of them, Operation A View to a Kill (AVtaK), if I had just paid closer attention to the victory conditions, I would have won for sure. You might want to watch that one for ideas of how to improve your Russian game. Do you play your USSR the same way I did? If not, look at things your group might do differently when playing USSR. I just come so close to winning every time with USSR!

Really liking these new changes to fine tune the game for balance...absolutely love the CCP rules changes and the bonus tech roll for the USSR at the start of the game...this should really help the player controlling the Comintern. Also think South Sakhalin island makes way more sense too. You said you covered about 90% so I guess they didn't try to help the poor Japanese...Having watched you guys play several of these tournaments...you really have to be VERY careful when playing the Japanese...Silk did very well in one particular game but others really got their butts handed to them.

Yes, Japan can very easily stumble in the early game, then lose momentum and fall apart. However, if the Allies aren't careful, they too make a grievous mistake and lose momentum. It's a fascinating game which seems to reward experienced players. I've never seen the game play out the same way twice. There are very interesting decisions with definite consequences!

Yeah CCP needed a buff l. I felt like getting to a major power was already difficult enough, let alone conquering the whole of South East asia.

Hi, we are playing GW this weekend and i would like to incorporate some new rules into this fight. I like the airplane rules. So I understand correctly that i will allocate aircraft to screening and follow-on forces. When the screening force destroys the fighters, after the case of the ship when they fly through the sea zone, the continuing force can bomb but not pretend to be airborne (which is a shame). The secound rule for the Ussr is the Technology roll. From the start of the game, the USsr has 1 technology roll for more as long as it owns all 6 cities. IT is So?

You are correct on both points. With aircraft screening, testing showed that the new screening rules made airborne assaults too powerful. This is why they are excluded. They are already very dangerous and they didn't need to be further strengthened. In fact, some players in the community want to weaken airborne assaults and are asking that in future versions they not be allowed to attack cities. I don't think that is going to happen, but you should know that it is unlikely that airborne assaults will be made more powerful in the future.

Thank you. So we played this weekend and I had 9VB for USSR and unfortunately it wasn't enough to win. 😤 The tech roll for 6 cities didn't help much and I wasn't able to get a VB for tech (drunk Russian scientists). We're playing GW again in 14 days and l'd like to incorporate the remaining rules as the USSR is really struggling. Regarding CCP strategic objectives: Evolving into a great power dosen't change for both CCP And KMT? The only change is for CCP and that is to destroy KMT. Right? Roll for Ship allocation: 1-7 removed, 8-10 Vichy, 11-12 Germany. Is that correct? Improved logistics: successful roll is stil 9 and more, picks up+1 strategic pogab and+2 strategic naval movement. I don't understand much English, And KZbin translates it into my language a bit illogically. So I'm making sure I understand it correctly... Thank you for your comments.

@@nikolavitkova9490 Everything you wrote is correct, except Improved Logistics drops from a 9+ to an 8+, so it's not quite as good (+1 rail instead of double), but it is easier to obtain (8+ instead of 9+). Good luck!

No firm date that I have heard, but Doug did say within a month. My guess would be perhaps Labor Day? That's pure speculation though. I do not have insider information on that date.
