I’m on my second TG-7 which I use for kayaking and cycling. Brilliant cameras which means you can keep your phone save in your bag.

Yeh, we loved that side of it! Nice to know it's pretty sturdy too, even when underwater

Bought one a few months ago. Pretty good to carry around and is Grandkid proof😊 Perfect for my long distance Cycle Tours.👍

I live full time on a motorcycle and have wrecked a few cameras due to environment. My concern is speed of startup and ease of controls. If I pull over to catch an event I need it to start up fast and, preferably, not require removing light gloves. Any thoughts?

Hey there! Well, the TG-7 has a startup time of approx. half a second! Hopefully that'll be quick enough. There are other models with fast startup speeds but the TG-7 is specifically designed to be rugged as well as offering quality.

It will be fine if taking photos, but no so easy taking video when wearing gloves, the record button is very small and needs a very intentional press with the tip of the finger.

do you know a way to process RAW files? Do i need a plug- in in Lightroom?

Usually, we edit in the OM Systems edit app. That way there are no issues.

I just bought one as a present for my brother. I've noticed that there is no lens cap included in the box. I assume that the manufacturer knows best and they'd include one if it was necessary. At the same time I found out that they do have a lens cap for it but it costs a whopping 50 bucks which is 1/8th of what I paid for the camera. So, is the lens cap needed or not? I do worry about that exposed lens even if the camera is "tough".

Hi there - thanks for watching. They offer the the additional lens cap as an extra precaution but you are right in that, if it was necessary, they would include it in the box. If are concerned but the official one is too costly, there will probably be some third-party options online that will provide that extra level of safety. I hope your brother enjoys this camera!
