Late to the game here, but just wanted to say thanks for the awesome review!

I just purchased one of these based on a previous video where you commented you preferred it over the Revelate bag. This is my third Oveja Negra product and absolutely love it! Definitely a fan. This bag did a great job of holding my coffee on the way to work last week. My coffee-drinking-while-riding skills need some improvement though

Just received my Oveja Negra Chuck Bucket in Japan for my Bombtrack Beyond 1. Absolutely love it! I even ordered it before your review. This is my third Oveja Negra bag. I have both their top tube bags. Happy to support this small, U.S.A. company. The pricing is worth it.

I love this bag! I bought the Wack version in August 2022 from Campfire Cycling and it is beautiful! The interior has enough space for a water bottle plus snacks. It’s very convenient to have a bottle close at hand instead of always reaching down for it. I do not like the Velcro pocket. It’s too tight and that Velcro is too strong so I covered it with duct tape for easier access.

I feel like an elastic strap or bungee could be easily retrofitted to just about any feed bag. Heck, you could probably even add some elastic to the existing webbing fairly easily. Thanks for all the great reviews, keep them coming!

Yeah. Should just mod my own and report on it.

I bought two, something about symmetry.

If you put a 1L water bottle, does it affect the handing of the bike? I'm worried that the handlebar will pull to the side of the water bottle. Thank you for the great review!
@PathLessPedaledTV3 жыл бұрын
Yes it will but you can adjust.

Might be a silly question, but: Do these make it utterly impossible to use the tops/upper bar grip position? Say if you had one on each side.

No.

Wouldn't this kind of bag affect your steering?

A little.

Will it fit a 32oz sports drink bottle? ( they always seem to have one brand on sale at the small town c stores around here)
@PathLessPedaledTV6 жыл бұрын
Mostly like since it fits a 40oz.
@GB-zk9ow6 жыл бұрын
Yes it will. I use it to carry my 40oz. CamelBak Chute Vacuum-Insulated Stainless Water Bottle and it works great.

You didn’t show the most important thing. How to exactly attach the bag to the handlebar

I’m new to this kind of cycling so I’m not used to having bags hanging off my bike. Does a bag like this get in the way of pedalling? I know we won’t be sprinting for road sign glory but what about when you have to get out of the saddle on a climb, doesn’t your knee bang into it?
@PathLessPedaledTV6 жыл бұрын
Depending on stem length and how you climbing standing it may or may not hit your knees. For me, I do hit it sometimes, but it's not a deal breaker. I carry bear spray in mine living in Montana, so I definitely want it in an accessible place and am willing to take the trade off :)
@Quevallyn6 жыл бұрын
Path Less Pedaled strangely enough, bear spray is not top of my list needs when cycling the genteel bridleway of Dorset, UK. Thanks for the reply. 👍

Noooooo...do not use a elasticized strap at the bottom because eventually the elasticity will disappear. A good webbing strap avoids that problem. Oveja Negra has it right right now!
@PathLessPedaledTV6 жыл бұрын
I think it can be executed well with either a quality elastic strap or replaceable bungee cord! In my experience, depending on fork clearance, the webbing is too bulky and will rub on tires as well as abrade carbon forks. A thinnish bungee cord lock with a rubber noddle would be a great solution.
