Is this the best band of acrylic model paint and does the gun metal have metallic in it?

Hello. I use gun metal paint, I like that, it's very nice. But, I have a question for you. This paint, (gun metal x-10), why smell like bad and thinner? example; revell acrylic paints smells good, not bad. One more thing. Gun metal drying time very very short. Revell takes a long time. why is different?

How to know when you use thinner and when you're not, in X-32 you're not using thinner. why is that?

Hi, one question! ahha When opening one of those for the first time there is a dark liquid in the top. Do you have to throw out, mix it or what? Thank you!
@Jc885004 жыл бұрын
Mix the paint, I use a toothpick for this. When the paint sits for a long time while in storage or on a store shelf the pigment or metallic flakes will settle at the bottom, I’ve also noticed the flakes Tamiya uses in their metallics are identical between paints and it’s the liquid you are talking about that gives it a different finish.

Do you think the Metallic Silver spray can (TS-83) is a better shade than the X-32? I'm trying to find a good metallic silver paint for the Bandai R2D2 head (R2D2 + BB 8 kit). The plastic grey isn't too satisfying to me so need to paint it. Also, how would you do the panel lining using Tamiya accent bottle over these Tamiya acrylic paints? I assume that the base coat of paints will get wiped out while erasing excess panel lining using the tamiya thinner. Can these acrylics be thinned with water?

If I remember correctly, tamiya accent panel line uses enamel thinner. But I'm not sure will it remove the base paint or not. It may or may not work because I haven't tried that before.

Can these paints can be applied on oxidised silver jewelry ? To prevent tarnishing ?
@GooseMugs5 жыл бұрын
This type of paint has nearly no protective effect and will get worn away very quickly. You can use this to touch up, and then seal with a varnish to get a finish that will last longer.

do you need to use a primer before painting using tamiya acrylic?
@gundamosamu43986 жыл бұрын
tricia gibson In this video, I didn't use a primer because I painted on a small area. But if you paint on the big area, you should use primer before painting.

@rafieazka1776 жыл бұрын
Shahab Maleki you can but its risky because sometimes its not effective because it cause the paint to be watery bu i havent tried it sooo maybe tried it first to the runners then you use it

it is water based right?what the purpose of thinner?
@paull6675 жыл бұрын
rALdGe 3514914 tamiya's acrylics are not purely water based so they need a special type of thinner or specifically, the tamiya acrylic thinner.
