I bought a fistful of Ramón Allones Gigantes from 2017 last year and still have 2 left. Each one is immaculately rolled, rich, complex and perfect razor-straight burn right to the fingertips before getting even remotely hot. Rich, creamy mocha - the cocoa, cream and coffee all married together beautifully with hints of stewed fruit, walnuts, delicate earthiness and a little citrus and dark honey in the final third too. A hint of black pepper but smooth, creamy and delicious. One was slightly too easy on the draw but still wonderful and the other 4 I've had so far all had absolutely perfect draws (for me that means relatively easy but with a little tug of resistance).

I went to a lounge and I had one of those. I was really looking forward to it but I was butterely disappointed. No smoke was coming though I had to return it. I exchanged it and just went for the Siglo 5

I've smoked countless Cubans and the reality is the competition produces great cigars. The Davidoff Late Hour, God of Fire, Don Carlos, etc. are as good as any of the great Cubans. If you want to get into the stratosphere, a BBMF by FF is as good as the best Cubans I've ever had including Cohiba 2017, Behike, or even my personal favorite vintage SLRDC. You know what else? I've not experienced the slightest issue with QC from any of the non-Cuban brands I've mentioned. It's a real shame they can't get their act together.
