Really thorough and informative review dude, thank you 👍🏼 I’m a landscaper so have been eyeing one of these up for a while, and now I think I’ll treat myself!

I still absolutely love this tool. I did a ton of trail building over the summer and it was my main workhorse

Great review! You covered all the important aspects for clearing and rough shaping a trail in that review that you'd use hand tools for. The included "cons" were very nice too. I was wondering how well the pick point would be and you covered it perfectly! Amazing editing too! Thanks for posting this review!

Fantastic review. Thanks for all the work you put in to this. I really appreciate the detailed pros and cons, and the example at the end, where you explain that the Travis Tool replaces a hoe and a short-rake in your actual work-kit, but with somewhat more versatility, since it can also act as a light pick, a light scraper and a light tamper. The comparison to a sculpting tool is also very apt.

My only experience Trail Building was way back when I worked at a scout camp over a couple summers. This is really making me wish I could go back. A couple years after I left they actually added mountainboarding to the activities roster. If the money weren't so laughably bad, I'd go back in a heartbeat.

There's something that's just so enjoyable about it. It's crazy cool to me that some people actually do making a living as trailbuilders

Nicely done! Have you used any of the other tools from Rogue? Do you think a fiberglass handle would be better? What length handle do you have 48” or 54” and is it preferable ?

Great video. I was wondering when the next episode of the diy snowboard will be ready, cause it’s really helping me with making my own snowboard.

I'm waiting on that tip and tail fill material, but once that comes in we'll be moving forward. Should be in the mix over the next couple weeks!

Thats a rad tool! They come in two lengths would you get the long one for a 6'2" tall person or stick with the shorter?
@GoodRoads3 жыл бұрын
I'd go with the longer one regardless unless you;re like hiking with it a lot or something. The added reach is really nice

On what, MTB? Longboard? Hey, did you also see that I picked your trail name? My freestyle line is going to be called Broken Bark, thanks for the suggestion!

Me too! It's not done yet, there's a bunch of rocks and stumps I still have to dig up
