The felt recoil is because of the synthetic stock. If you use Devcon on the fore end to stiffen it up and put a little bit of weight. Fill the stock with silicone rubber to help in recoil management. It also makes the rifle shoot much more accurately.

I dont blame you at all..The larger 30 cals are for the youngins..But, may I suggest, wearing a PAST recoil shield..It does wonders for your shoulder and state of mind..Wear it under your shirt..

Recoil is harsh in 308 do to the weight

I have since threaded the barrel and suppressed tame down the recoil sweet now

Now it is suppressed not as much recoils felt!
