The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is built with an aluminum frame and a aluminum back for the screen. The device is available in Black, Gold, Silver. It has stereo loudspeakers with AKG tuning. A USB-C port is used for charging and connecting other accessories.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 system-on-chip, with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB, 128 GB of non-expandable eMMC 5.1 internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e has a 7040 mAh battery, and is capable of fast charging at up to 18 W.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e includes dual cameras. The wide 26 mm f/2.0 lens 13-megapixel sensor, the front-facing camera uses an 8-megapixel sensor. It is capable of recording 4K video at 30 fps.
Successors include the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, Galaxy Tab S7 FE (Fan Edition), and the base model Galaxy Tab S8. However, although the Tab S6 Lite and Tab S7 FE added S Pen stylus support, they use TFT LCD displays instead of AMOLED (Samsung's branding of OLED).

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e shipped with Android Pie with One UI 1.1. And, it was last updated to Android 11 with One UI 3.1.
Desktop Mode
Do you want to use DeX mode but don’t have an extra monitor lying around? That won’t be a problem if you have a Galaxy tablet. This means you can use DeX without connecting the tablet to a monitor or TV! Just open up DeX mode on your tablet to start multitasking.
When you need to get some work done, just open up DeX mode on your Galaxy tablet, so you’ll have a PC-like experience literally in the palms of your hands.
To start using DeX, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick settings panel. Then, tap the DeX or Samsung DeX icon. The DeX interface will load on the tablet the same way it appears on desktops and monitors.
Apps will open as windows, making them bigger and easier to use on the tablet’s large screen. You can move the window around the screen and have multiple windows open at the same time.

Truly one of my favorite tablets! Was going to trade in for S9 but couldn't justify $700 for my usage. Only use for youtube, music, email, and looking at photos! Amazing tablet for basic use!! 👌🏽

Same. I want a new tablet so bad but this tab here is truly standing the test of time. The audio is more vibrant than my TV and the screen is amazing. It just works well all around. I can't find a new one that has all the same specs but better without being $1200

This tablet is ridiculous. It was pretty much the same as the high end S6, except for a slower CPU and no stylus support. The AMOLED screen at QHD is premium. The 4x AKG speakers are premium. The finish is premium too. I use it for over 3 years (6gb ver.), bought it for relatively cheap even in 2020. I am very glad I didn't go with the S6 Lite. Video content on the S5E screen still looks phenomenal.

Watching this on a first gen tab s 10.5 from 2014 . Still works great , good for surfing the net and watching youtube videos . The oled screen is still bright and vibrant although i did replace the battery last year . I might perhaps get a new tablet one day . .

Just bought one for $200 and installed LineageOS 20.(Android 13 !) , disabled 3 types of annimation in developer settings. Now it's lignting fast without Samsung bloatware. It's like new with latest android verison. It's light weight too. Hint: if you can't flash anything: vbmeta, recovery or customOS because the status of: Prenormal. Easy fix is: connect to wifi, setup the tablet, login to gmail acount, and create and login to a Samsung account. Finish all the Samsung Startup setups and play around. The prenormal status will change to: checking. Then you can flash.

@@dansourile5444 It's a very stable OS. It's based on android OS code. I've used it on my phone for years. (Never used split screen feature)

I still use mine every day the S7+ has ufs storage so I thought I'd try that, also bigger display , as you say 16:10 is perhaps a little narrow for pdf ebooks , no brainer if you really can get it for 100 though

Great review! I’ve bought 7 of these over the years, and paid just £35 for one today with a case. For too bargain tip. Get one with a very light hairline crack in it. Totally unnoticeable when in use. Oled screen and top speaker. It’s a winner 🏆

I bought this tablet about 2 years ago. I mainly use it to stream movies and TV shows as I save them to the tablet as I use it on the road as a truck driver. Using the tablet anywhere from 2 or 3 hours a day, the battery still holds strong. Great picture, though I am not one to typically use the factory stock speakers on anything, so the sound quality of the factory speakers are not bad, as I use a Bluetooth speaker for Better Sound quality. No it's not the newest and greatest, but pleasantly surprised how long it has lasted. The external rocker buttons still function as it did the day that I took it out of the box. Even today, I would not hesitate on picking another one up.

I tried to send your guys a link but it seems like KZbin deleted my comment but here's the way without 1 start by going to LineageOS webpage 2 press the get LineageOS button 3 select samsung in the filter (or another brand if you don't have the samsung) 4 select your device its important to choose the exact model number 5 go to install instructions and follow these carefully - it might suggest you to use ODIN(its whatsamsung themselves use at service center) but I find the program Heimdall easier to use

Only downside is its speed now. Cant even cast 4k videos without bottlenecking. But for 1080p streaming videos its amazing for the price. This screen is just as good as the new super amoled in my tab s8 plus. Battery life is rather good, better than my s8 by a lot even after owning it since 2019.

@AGYR08 because it's a significantly less powerful cpu in the s5e. Also size of battery depends on the size of device. Just because the batteries bigger on a s8+ doesn't mean it lasts longer due to the larger screen size

i had this tablet since 2019, no need for me to upgrade as far as im concerned 🤙🤙 i can draw comfortably, play games, listen to music, watch movies and shows, i can even make calls& text (even tho i don't need to), everything 😭 the only issue is that it does lag a but but ig im used to it? and if ur worried about it being outdated and at a risk of security issues, i recommend downloading some extentions or malware protection apps 🙏

to work quickly on the original rom, you must disable all options for recording and sending diagnostic data... this is in several places. instructional videos are on YT = parasites in android

I was gonna get a galaxy tab s6 but the tab s6 doesn't have a built in dac I got angry and swore to never buy Samsung trash as long as they don't have a headphone jack/SD card
