I just got these in after owning a pair of the 3s. I loved the 3s but tbh the 4s are way better. I don't understand the negative reviews talking about less pop, these are really responsive and I get great ground feel compared to the 3s which made me feel like i was standing on top of the foam.

Thanks for your comment! I agree. PWRRUN HG is a firmer foam, but it has a very high energy return, much higher than PWRRUN PB. I think some people like a bouncy feel, but bouncy isn't necessarily fast. I really enjoy the mix of HG and PB, which makes the feel both fun and fast. Lars

The EP4 is a smashing fast shoe

Has the Speed 4 any place in a rotation considering how versatile the Pro 4 has become? Also… price diff is negligible at best.

Hey BufanMusyThai I agree that the price differences are not big, and to some extent you are right, but they are two different shoes, in my opinion. One is fast, light, and bouncy, and the other has more stability and durability. I would argue that the Speed 4 still has a place in the lineup. Speed 4 is firmer, more stable, and can handle both slow and fast. And if you look strictly at durability, you will typically get more miles out of the Speed 4, making the Pro 4 a more expensive shoe per mile. It is also important to consider that racing shoes lose some of their speed during their lifetime and should be used sparingly if you want maximum performance at a race. You can use the old Pro 4 as a tempo shoe and keep one fresh for race, but then you wouldn't get the variance of load having several different shoes can give you. So in all, I still think you would be using more money per km and have less variance of load in your runs if you only used the Pro 4. But it all comes down to taste and if you want to bounce all the time. Lars

Lars, which one would you prefer for fast marathon, Elite or EP4 ?

Hey Marko, We haven't been able to test them in a lab, so I don't know what is the most efficient. But here are my thoughts. The Pro 4 is more comfy, and has a bit more bounce and comfort in the midsole. And the Elite seems to be a bit more aggressive in it's rocker, firmer and has that crazy upper. Overall find the Elite to have better space in the forefoot and my heart rate is always low when I run in it, while the Pro 4 is more comfortable on and more fun to run with, but might lack some space in the forefoot for the longest runs. So as you can understand, I am on the fence. I would have to try the Endorphin Pro 4 on a half marathon first, but the Elite did great when I ran in Hamburg last year, so they are hard to replace, even though I feel more comfortable in the Endorphin Pro 4. i understand; great answer; i will go with EP4, i like narrow shoes; EP3 are my current race shoe; i think they are much better than AP3, my previous race shoe
