I think even today, IB is too quick to claim incompetence. IB casts and presents well, personally I think your self confidence translates itself into how you fish flies and lures and that makes or breaks you. Personally as I have watched IB fish over I don't know 15 videos and the only thing that holds her back ever, is her self confidence. Believe in yourself IB and the rest will fall into place.

I know this is quite old, but still today you can buy cheap lures etc, if this video encourages those on a limited budget or kids, to get involved it serves more than a purpose well done.

I'm new to fishing and got a beginners set off amazon. I got lures very similar to the ones they were using. I will admit I'm somewhat clueless when it comes to to the sport and im learning as Im going along, but this video is quite reassuring due to I've not had a single catch lol

Try float fishing and maybe some bread even a little bread punch tool may help cheap and cheerful hope this helps

Buddy a found with them hard rubber baits .. put them into a cup off boiling water b4 u use them for a few mins and it softens them.. their better for trout mafriend .. luv the channel.. respect from Glasgow SCOTLAND 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👍😎

Crazy Fish Nano Minnows have outfished any other soft plastic I have used by a long way this year, perch seem to absolutely love the banana colour

Enjoyed your canal fishing even though I am a fly rod purist. I do have a question which is not fishing related. The boats I see on the canal, are they permanent residence? And just where does that canal lead to? Keep up the most entertaining videos. The rain has finally subsided here in NC, Pennsylvania, USA so now just maybe I can find some streams that are not over flowing its banks.

In the uk the canals were man made to transport goods around the country until they moved on to road n rail theres many different routes n networks of canal up n down uk many people live on the boats n you can also hire them as a holiday home n many aussies come over summer time they come in many different shapes n sizes too 😀

I'm not intended to be rude, but those were probably the worst cheap lure choices, I've had similar models from known big brands that still did not catch fish. If you are willing to wait 1 month for shipping, you can find gems on alliexpress. Here are some tested stuff from there, Allblue - they also have fox rage spikey clones which are good quality and have good swimming action, a pack for about 1,98$ you can't go wrong with this for perch and zander Meredith - these are more expensive but almost 1 on 1 replicas from Relax Kopyto to Savage Gear Now for hard baits, these will not be the cheapest, but still cheaper than the original brands they are copied from Stick only with Trulinoya and SeaKnight as I found these are the only ones with good hooks and good swimming action out of the box, other brands are a hit and miss.

The hard bait vaguely looks like a Megabass 110 in profile? Hard to tell on the video TBH. But yeah, swap the hooks out and it looked like a perfectly useable lure. Fun video, great to see a challenge video for a decent wager. Fish-N-Chips after fishing.....to much win :-)
