Because of your video I also bought the Simcore mount for my Invitica.....which I also bought due to both yours and other YT videos. After 29 days it FINALLY arrived today. No instructions, but I'm watching your video again to help the installation go smoothly. Oh yeah, I even got the same orange color you have since I also have a custom color orange with my ASR6 rig. Keep up the great work! :)

Expensive but worth it 🙌🏻 thanks for watching matey. The setup is easy enough but sure just shout if you get stuck. I needed some longer bolts to mount the front plastic cover on my Invicta base if I remember correctly other than that it’s straight forward 😉 think the orange on orange is going to look 🔥🙌🏻

For a similar price, but with more adjustable the ASR Pro mount was a better solution for me. You get easy up, down, forward, back, and tilt and it is rock solid.

Had a look the ASR Pro mount looks great, love the colours they got also. Being able to make adjustments without tools also a plus. If I ever get the chance to build a second rig il definitely try this route 👍🏻

I know your going to love the Asetek base coming from dd2, I had clubsport 2.5 then dd1, dd2 followed by simucube & Asetek. I am like 99% convinced your going to have a great end of the year 😉

GT Omega sells what is essentially the same mount without the logo for a lot cheaper. I bought it (but haven’t yet installed it) for AU$200 vs AU$497 for SimCore’s version.

Nice video. I'm wondering if Asetek Bottom Mount would be any better than their Front Mount. Bottom Mount looks to be much cheaper but LOOKS much sturdier for the Asetek wheelbase. Any thoughts?

Hey Matey I have no experience with Asetek bottom mount to be honest however what you are saying makes sense 🤔 I think if you are mounting on a solid rig then yes it could be the way to go.

Too bad Asetek didn’t send a new one despite their rapid response. And knowing that other owners are not having the same issue. I would’ve thought they would see this as being faulty and replaced it within the week. It’s like 4 months since your last review on this dd base

Hey matey thanks for watching I am not sure what you mean though? Are you referring to the QR that was not as solid on the Formula wheel? If that is what you are referring to Asetek sorted that very quickly I can’t remember ever having any other issues but then again I do have a head that’s like a sieve 🤦🏼‍♂️

I thought it was because the mount the wheel base was on, that’s why you had to change it to a simcore mount. I watched the previous review of this Asetek direct drive wheelbase. I enjoyed the comparison with the Simucube dd. Really good video. Plus the Asetek looks good on the simcore front mount , just the right amount of bling. Once again, I’m sorry my first comment on your video was negative to company I’ve grown to believe sells high end products and offer cutting edge technology

@@JiluMiah-ek2rdno sweat mate 😂 yes when Asetek first released their formula wheel the Quick Release was not gripping as tight as what it should have. But they sorted that very quickly and today their QR is my favourite. The front mount Asetek sells has play in it but nothing you notice wile driving. This simcore one is amazing and makes everything rock solid but cost allot for what its is 😉

Does the simcore mount for asetek come with the things that come out on the side or just the orange parts?

You get the 2 orange pieces and the black front piece for the Asetek base. Then separately you buy the profiles to connect to your rig. They sell it this way because everyone has different rigs so the profiles will be specific to what ever rig you have.

Yeah, the Asatek mount is really disappointing with the flex and the cables. Great to know that there is an alternative an great video as always. But to be honest, for this price I will prioritize to save some money for upgrading to active pedals ;)

Il need to prioritise my house before buying active pedals 🤦🏼‍♂️ but yea you can buy allot else for the money. Busy testing the SiMagic P1000 pedals with the haptic feedback. Definitely not active pedals but 3 pedals for 30% of price of one active pedal 🤔

Okay i see, but if you buy a single alu profile and bottom mount the base. You are 90% there for ..what... maybe 30-40€? Sorry, no way this is anywhere near worth 350€ .. i would pay max 150€.

Yes definitely not cheap, none of simcore products are cheap though. The Asetek mount I have is €150 and will work ok for most people. And Asetek has like 5 different mounting options so that’s is very nice. Bottom mounting base does make more difficult to get angle and bottom mounts normally have more flex compared to front mounting. The only thing that makes the Asetek difficult to front mount is that they have their own pattern it’s not universal so front mount has to be made specifically for Asetek base.
