I think the biggest selling point of these pair of speaker is being able to reproduce quality sound no matter how your room is treated. ex. the woofer doesn't fire back to the wall behind, the twitter are more focused toward the listener, the sound doesn't reflect in every direction, etc. Hence the price for the enginneering feat. I tried one recently and I must say it's sooooooo great despite the size and everything.

Hi mike, have you reviewed sony ier z1r yet? saw that many times in your video but no single dedicated video talking about that and also how they perform with the lotoo paw gold touch.

I have not reviewed it. It’s a good IEM but not great. More cons than pros IMHO.

@@HiFiInsider Hi Mike, thanks for your reply. I 've been your fan for a long time and your passion about audio devices really influences me a lot, sending my respect for your channel and effort. I really enjoy the large sound stage of the ier z1r and the build quality is great. The cons may be that they are not so comfort to wear. Finally got a pair for myself and satisfied with the sound. To me it performs great for instruments but not so good on human vocal sounds.

Sony mp3 player @ $200 entry-level (2500 premium) Still made and sold - hi res audio ( *DSEE upscaling* is a must experience) - newer models use USB-C (specs are referring to priority cable)

@@HiFiInsider Yeah I understand it can not reflect the real sound through recording. But maybe it can make the speakers more alive and real and gives the video slightly more fun to watch.

Not really a “sub” but is a radiator driver in the back. It does give out better bass than I expected.

@@HiFiInsider ahh, I see. I saw an exploded diagram of the speaker. They are pretty small drivers so the engineering that went into these must've been substantial. That's what you're paying the big bucks for I guess. Thanks for your reply mate. :)

sound like has a very narrow field & ugly looking good desktop speaker (too large footprint on the desk).Sony never has any great speaker though ,they have great product in cam,and other audio gear .
