My only complaints, I wish it was at least F1.8 and priced under $600

I have the same camera now, and debating on buying the 35mm 2.8. What lens did you get? If you did get the 35mm, how is it?

What about comments of it having dark images in corners(vignetting)? Oh, there's a in camera correction on vignetting?

Is this lens good for architectural deadpan, edge to edge, sharp focused photography? , i take full frontal photos of houses, buildings, walls etc, with no bokeh or vignette affects. Also would my camera, the sony A7rii(42mp) with this lens be capable of A0 size prints? Ive asked loads of channels but had no answers yet. Its for my end of course fine art degree show, so it's important to know soon, Thank you, Chris

I recently purchased a Sony A7-II (my first digital camera) and I am planning to do some long exposure (20 to 30 seconds) night shots of a cityscape and I was told that I need to cover the viewfinder to avoid light getting into the image, do you know if this is true and if so what can I use to cover it with?
@haydngonzalez19019 жыл бұрын
Light does come through the view finder, very little light but enough to ruin the shot. You can cover the view finder with your hand, of course not touching the camera for the 20 to 30 secs.

+Haydn Gonzalez Thanks for the reply, that's a question that i posted about a month ago and since then someone told me (posted) that it is not a problem with mirror-less cameras, only with optical viewfinders. Now i'm confused (LOL)

Ohhh well good to know. I've had my a7mk2 for about 4 maths now. So if I don't have to cover that would be great. I'll experiment and see what's up. Trial and error

The viewfinder may interfere but I wouldn't think that it would. On the Sony cameras, the viewfinder goes black so it shouldn't cause a problem. If you really want to make sure, what you could do is get a small piece of black cloth and tape and put it over the viewfinder so that you could lift it from the bottom to still see the viewfinder. I'm not sure if anybody makes anything that would slide on and accomplish this.

It's almost the perfect lens, but the focus min distance is just big, otherwise it's the best of the best for travel.
