This stand alone game comes in C3i issue 30, and is a small scenario from Mark Herman's Empire of the Sun system

Great review! Thank you for this. I ordered the issue of C3i that had this game based on your review.

Great job as usual guys! There is definitely a place for “little brother” games, where Big Brother is difficult to bring the table for reasons of size, complexity or duration. Plan Orange fits in well also as a “what if” game in a period of battle line tactics.

I have Plan Orange but have, shamefully, not played it. South Pacific was nice, because it was a little smaller scaled so the fleets were a little more personal.

I'm years late, but in these smaller scenarios you can play a 3 ops card to end Inter-Service Rivalry

Nice review guys. Appreciate the insight. Does the loser get a finger taken off with that gaming implement sitting on the corner of the table...???? :P

Where is Alexander's accent from, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm from the south of England originally, but I've been in the States now for nearly seven years so my accent is all over the place.

Ah, makes sense now, thanks. My partner and I were betting on you being Bostonian, which is the same mechanism just over a longer timeframe, haha.

Hi, it is suitable for beginners?

It's still pretty steep to learn, but the tactical decision space is smaller than Empire of the Sun, which means it is a bit easier. Still quite complex though.

@@ThePlayersAid ok, to practice is it better to start with this scenario? what do you think about it

@@eugeniomariopazielli8478 i recommend starting to learn EoTS system with Burma scenario from C3i issue #35. South Pacific uses more rules and is a bit more complicated tactically. I would recommend playing Burma then buy Empire of The Sun newest printing where GMT added south pacific scenario to full EoTS game. South Pacific from c3i is only worthy a buy if you preffer older style counters
