Sun Country is starting service to Rapid City (RAP) in June 2023, with two flights a week out of MSP. Their press release read that it sounds like they will be using the 737-800's on the route.

I'm actually flying that very same route on Oct 5th with sun country. I'm taking the Amtrak from my home town of grand forks to Fargo. Then the landline bus to MSP from hector international airport. I'm flying delta on my return.

My other favorite Minnesota hometown airline with my first experience was on a PHX-MSP red-eye flight! I do like Sun Country for the complimentary drink and reasonable prices, and they do have entertainment streaming onboard through their wifi. Not sure how you missed that, but maybe the aircraft at the time wasn't equipped with wifi? If you fly with Sun Country again, try their best seat! It has great leg room, an adjustable headrest, and a free snack and alc beverage!

Sun Country just announced they're finally coming to MCI next year. Looking forward to more options out of the new terminal.

Worst experience ever with Sun Country. When we got to Houston, they lost my child's stroller and couldn't find it. The agent just kept giving excuses as well. I will never fly Sun Country again!

This airline has gone downhill fast. Even if you fly on them and the plane is delayed the people at the ticket counter and the gate have no idea what’s going on.
