I understand that the writers are targeting a younger demographic but younger viewers still deserve quality. Not all children should just accept repetition, hypocrisy and bad lessons in life. Shows like Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time, Steven Universe etc. proved that kids shows can be clever yet still contain content that makes kids smile. TTG just lacks substance and drains the character out of every character in the show. They shouldn't even be called the Teen Titans anymore, they are the Toddler Titans.

I kindly disagree with that. The writers themselves said that the show is stupid, so the humor isn't going to be witty or charming, more so just toilet humor. Me and a bunch of friends tried to watch this show and we just didn't find it funny, it's just a big f u to the fans of the original series (if you seen the episodes where they pretty much teased the old fans of the series) I'm all in for a comedic show, but all characters should have character. Instead, they are hyperactive winy children who seem to not have any sense. I get what you're trying to say, but is an episode where most of the characters say the word "waffles" for the majority of the time funny? I can see young children get a laugh at that but older kids? I just can't see that. I obviously despise the show but not just because it's a comedic Teen Titans but because it's just not funny.

It's not JUST toilet humor though. There's irony, slapstick, visual gags, inside jokes, reference jokes, etc. Just about any type of humor you can think of is in the show. And the characters absolutely have character: see "Some of Their Parts" for a good break down of this.

I would not mind it if it was a show that took effort to make but the "effort" put into TTG is comparable to Titus Software's lazy half assed effort of making a Superman game. I can't even call that a game. It was released comparable to an unplayable sloppy incomplete beta garbage mess that refuses to work. This is a lazy sloppy put together excuse of a show. It's existence is a waste and it knows it. 0/10. Worst current running animation. Personally, I'd be fine if they made a Teen Titans series in the style of something like Regular Show, Steven Universe, or Adventure Time, because while those shows are comedy-based, there is a story structure, things that happen have consequences, and there is a sense of morality in the stories, the characters don't always do the right thing, but they acknowledge that and try to make up for it. In Teen Titans Go it's just randomness for the sake of being random, the heroes are not heroic and rarely even fight crime. They clearly don't get what Teen Titans is about... at all... I mean they may as well change all the characters names and just have it as a full on parody, rather than trying to drag down something much better. Hopefully, when this show finally gets cancelled... the creators will actually learn something... maybe

I saw an episode a while back where they tried to send the message that true fans don't give up on a show through the difficult times or something to that effect. This show is the worst. I grew up with the original Teen Titans, and to this day 12 years later I still love it. This though, this is a prime example of bastardization. Not only do I think the characters are annoying as hell, the style just bleh, and the message screwed up beyond recognition, but they went somewhere where a animation never goes. Instead of acting mature, they decided to make an episode based around the critic's reactions to the show, and at the same time make it a sort of rating's trap. People say "It's for kids." and say right back "And kids deserve better.". In an age where we have shows like Adventure Time, Gumball, Gravity Falls, and Steven Universe, stuff like this isn't excepted. It's just, no good.

This is honestly the best review of this train wreck that I've seen. I loved the original show because of how much I related to the characters; these characters are so reprehensible that they each have their own page on Villains Wiki. What's even worse is all the wasted talent behind this show. One of the show's producers worked on (among other awesome things) Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and co-wrote the animated Wonder Woman movie; the other worked for MAD. One of the writers worked on the original Teen Titans show, and another works for Wander Over Yonder. Sad. I really like this cartoon. I'm 34 years old so I completely missed Teen Titans and never knew it existed until I watched BvS and began to consume everything DC. My 4 year old loves TTG and so do I. We watch it together and I love how she laughs at the silliness of it. I don't have nostalgia memories for the original but I do think TTG is more for small children.

+Kai Hall I think it would be good idea to review this show, but I do have to warn you that you shouldn't go into the review saying it's the worst thing ever just cause. Make sure you also mention the aspects of the show that you like. When I went in to see the show because people wanted me to review it, I wanted to hate everything about the show and I wanted to give it something like a 2/10. But when I finally saw the show I realized that there were things about it that I didn't think I'd like, but did. Now of coarse there things about the show that I thought I'd hate and did, sometimes more than I thought I did, but that doesn't diminish any of the good aspects. I would definitely say that it's one of the shows on TV, but just make sure not to rage too hard. ;)

How do you think they got the original voice actors to read line that make fun of the show that they use to work on, and million of people love. It's like they're trying to mock the original, Oh wait a second. THEY ARE! Every character is the same, loud, annoying and stupid. The animation is lazy. They take these characters with compelling back stories, arcs, growth and traits that define each of them so we can relate to them and turn them into brats that seem like they don't even care for themselves. They don't take these complaints and use them to improve the show, they make the show worse by using them on purpose to piss off those who want the shoe to be better. Fans aren't angry that the show is not like the original, that's why it's a spinoff. They just it to be a good comedy. But it's not, it only exist to cash in the popularity of the original show. The only thing I like is the theme song.

I really like this show. It's silly and light, and a lot of fun when you're in the right mood. They've actually had some pretty clever episodes that play around with tropes, those are usually really funny. I saw Teen Titans after TTG, and honestly while it's a rather good show, I prefer TTG. And (horror of horrors) I think the original Teen Titans, while good, is rather overrated. Shows that were around at the same time like Justice League did a better job of the same sort of super hero team premise. Of course that's just my opinion :)

***** I don't think they _do_ respect it more than SU. But it's obviously quicker and cheaper to make, and popular with a large enough audience to make it profitable to air an awful lot. Like I said, if that helps them have the money to make the deeper, more expensive cartoons we both love... well, it's really pretty awesome that they go the path of funding/supporting the more artistic and thoughtful output too rather than _only_ making TTG style shows, which'd probably make them more money. A big corporation that's using their resources to create things of true cultural importance rather than just making the most money possible for their owners. That's actually something pretty special, even if they do have to bend somewhat towards practical business concerns in order to keep running well.

After seeing what some of the developers are saying about it, I still have a bit of hope for them to continue the actual story, cause they have said that its a wacky spin off so I hope when they finish this series and compare the reviews of both TTG and the original version that they listen to the fans and critics, then go back to making the old version so most people are happy :D
