I love the rainbow color too! Fyi, the metal bar is there to give you something to hold on to when you're screwing the base in the sand. But beach bag hanger works well too. 😁🌺

That rod is not for hanging stuff - its meant to be used to help twist the pole into the sand giving you more torque rather than slipping your hands around the pole.
