And now the 39mm. Perfect for me. Dig this watch and the whole brand.

You also heard the thing about that clasp, I hope. Because everyone is saying the same. Make a brushed clasp, please! And more generally, we wait for you to master other types of case finishings while you enter the less dressy side.

I know everyone’s talking about the lugs, but here’s another take on why they don’t work so well here: when filled in by the bracelet, in my opinion it gives it a “big forehead” look. Rather than gracefully wrapping around the wrist like a datejust, it sticks out like a long slab before coming down. It’s awkward and I just can’t get behind it. And the male endlinks certainly don’t help…

Fair enough, and to some this might indeed be an issue but to others not so much. Luckly there's plenty of other watches to choose from! But we think this Club Sport Neomatik 37 is a very nice one!

The long lugs give it a lange&sohne odysseus feel..

Very Smallish wrist. Do you think the other one bracelet they offer might taper properly the wrist?

Cool watch and a good size. Very pretty. They have great designs. Lots to like about this one. The idiotic Nomos lug to lug and my experience with pretty poor time keeping on other models will continue to keep me away. For $2700 you can get one of 3 or 4 different, lightly used Tudors with better build quality and movements. I’d get a BB58 instead.

Thanks for watching, and taking the effort to comment on our video. We very much understand your experience, and price is always a point of debate in watches. And in all fairness, to each their own of course. If you're happier with something else, go for it! It's all about buying what you like, right? No hard feelings to opt for somethong other than a Nomos. We're just here to share our insight into mechanical watches and present what we think are cool pieces.

I like the old braclet of my 42 better, but still, this watch is a great addition. Got mine in 2018 for 2500€ on the grey market. Fits me perfectly, and i havent bought another watch yet

Beautiful dial but why are the lugs so long?
@Monochrome-watches Жыл бұрын
That's a typical design element in some of Nomos' watches. On this particular one it does make the case flow nicely into the bracelet and sit comfortably on the wrist.

If they split the difference size wise and give us a 39 or 40mm no date variant, and keep the lug to lug 50mm or under I’ll be first in line.

Some odd lighting in this video, the dials look very muted.

Yes, A bizarre oversight given that the dial colours are sensational.

It’s a shame yea. But coming from someone who’s owned multiple 36 DJs, the lugs also looked a bit too long

Almost the same lug to lug as Speedy. So fucking dumb.

I like the design, the green color. I hate the bracelet which doesn't look slick and will easily be scratched in no time. Also not a chronometer, roughly 40 hours of power reserve? that's a joke.
@Monochrome-watches2 жыл бұрын
The bracelet is actually pretty good, but if you don't like it you don't like it of course. Nomos also offers it on a leather strap which shaves a little off the price. Regarding the precision, in our experience the movement ran perfectly fine. The PR is a bit standard though, and will see you through a day easily but more is welcome in the future perhaps! Then again, when regularly worn, the 42h is no issue in our book.

I really like this watch except for the push in crown. I know about the fancy gaskets, and I know that other manufacturers combine a push in crown with water resistance ratings of 100+ metres, but to me it's just a cost cutting exercise. I emailed Nomos about this and received an answer that was 50% meaningless fluff and 50% hard sell. It's a shame because I'm sure that more people would take this watch seriously if it had a screw down crown to support the water resistance claim.
@chia-mingyang58042 жыл бұрын
I don't care the crown is screw-down or no.
@Super3xtr42 жыл бұрын
You make it sound like Nomos is lying about the water resistants of the watch. Why do you need a screw down crown if they achieve 200m without it? If it had a screw down crown with 200m of water resistants, it would still be "only" 200m. Since this is not a professional dive watch or even a normal dive watch I don't see your point. Perfect every day watch, easy to manual wind, without unscrewing the crown every time.
@robertlock60412 жыл бұрын
@@Super3xtr4 The point is that gaskets can fail. A screw down crown adds another layer of safety. All it needs is for the crown not to be seated correctly for some reason and you have a greater likelihood of a leak. I wouldn't trust it.
@chia-mingyang58042 жыл бұрын
@@robertlock6041 I have never seen an accidentally opened crown in my watch life.
