Thank you for your review with your son! We love TGTB highbschool as well but the books we do not enjoy! Is there another curriculum that you guys could recommend for my son ? He s the same grade level as yours.

TGTB is the only LA curriculum I could recommend for high school at this time.

If you had someone going into 12th grade, which high school level would you choose to start with?

Probably level 1 but it would somewhat depend on where they are and what thier goals are.

@@OneMamaToAnother thanks so much! I actually decided on level one and ordered it and then thought I might as well get the other 2(because I have other children that will use it later as well). This way I can use level 1 as the base because it seems like it has extra grammar as a review. I can replace some of the essays with level 2&3 as I see fit (which gives a good combination of all 3).

Does it have enough art and geography to count as a credit?

TGTB states that each high school level is worth: 1 credit of English Literature, Language, and Composition ½ credit of art history and art instruction ½ credit of geography.

Hi, thank you for the reviews of TGATB High School LA. Would you say HS 1,2,3 need to be taken in order and build on each other? I'm thinking of skipping HS 1 and going straight to HS 2 after LA Level 7, mainly due to the choice of readers in HS 1. If we were to miss out on important building blocks in grammar, writing etc. I would reconsider however.

It’s hard to say because I think some of it depends on what knowledge your child already has. Geography is definitely not repeated and the set up is similar but they do cover various topics.
