Review: Thrustmaster T150

I have the T150 Pro which comes with the T3PA pedals and it makes the experience a lot better. Also, in my opinion the wheel doesn't feel as weak as he is letting on to me. You have to play around with game settings but once you dial in the FFB it's pretty damn good. I use this wheel with ACC and other sims.

You are right that FFB depends from game to game. Was not overly impressed on GT but perhaps ACC can handle the FFB better. Still feel a noticeable difference with the bigger brothers tho

I just got this wheel the other day from a buddy. He gave it to me for free bc he doesn't have Playstation.. for my first wheel ever I'm really happy with it.

What you call a budget, took all my budget and savings. In India there imported stuff turn out way costly, like 150% price conversion with import duties and no warranty. I was thinking of buying 488 since its way less priced, 120 usd, compared to t150 around 210 usd. I don't like vibrations, always turn off vibration in controllers and my 10 year old genius f1 trio wheel. Never used vibrations, so dont know the exact point of ffb, i know it makes the steering light and heavy at different speed too.

Budget is indeed very subjective friend. I merely implied that it was the cheapest TM wheel with active force-feedback out there. But its not really the same as vibrations. It is more like a simulation of loss of grip or when you cut a corner to make you feel the car and track better. That being said, the T80 even without active ffb will be more fun than driving with a controller. Perhaps I will start a separate Line of video's to test them out too. Thank you for the feedback.

I have the Saitek Heavy Equipment Controller (no force feedback) and recently bought a T300. It's a completely different experience when the force depends on the vehicle and what it's doing. But I have to say that FFB isn't doing much in Snowrunner.

Nice review, I know there are a LOT of people who want to try sim racing and i know there are so many wheels to choose from now. I have a hard time referring new simies (people who want to sim race) to such wheels as they feel more like a child's toy but everyone has a budget and has to start somewhere. 🍻 Happy birthday to your little one. 🎉 🎂

Exactly. Second hand they are really affordable and they do provide a relatively good taste of sim-racing. Thanks man, not that little any more.. 8 years... time flies!

@@SimulatedDrivingResource Never mess with Jean-Luc Picard. You have a wide variety of Wheels. Would it make sense to test the Drive Hub in regard to the content on the channel?

@@marcianzero_yt it certainly would, but all the wheels I have are TM atm. I am selling some Lego so that I can invest in some wheels and actually keep them instead of selling them afterwards. Then if I can buy a Fanatec, I can use the hub and mix. Indeed good idea for content 👍👍👍

It looks like there is (or was) a T150 variant with different pedals. Or you get the LC pedals, idk what's the best way to do it.

Correct. They also came with some form of the T3pa pedals but they were no toppers either.

Yes. Here, the FFB is comparable but the steering wheel of the G29 feels so much nicer to the touch.

I think so yes. Especially because of the cone-mod because it helps with braking. But if you dont want to go to the best pedals of TM, the T3PM is best value for money. For me it is T2PA, T3PA, T3PM, TLCM.

@@formulavideos_9860 no they feel the same without the cone-mod. The cone mod for the T3PA makes it harder to push 100% brake...

Hello my friend and thank you very much for your video! I wanted to ask you how the t150 is in terms of noise, as I have to use it at night I don't want it to be too loud. That's why I ruled out the g29.

Because it is a hybrid system, the noise is limited. Nothing like the G29.

Since I miss sim racing I thought of taking back a sim rig but much cheaper and foldable when not in use. What do you think of the Playseat challenge with t150 combo? Used can be found for 150-200 euro.

@@KP-rl7ct its basic and budget, but for that price, I dont think you will get much more bang/buck. You will miss the power of the tgt though😕

@@KP-rl7ct i am inclined to say yes, but if it is really that much more expensive, perhaps the T150 will suffice. If you buy it second hand, you can always later sell it for +- the same price and upgrade then. That would be more sensible I guess

I don't feel oversteer, understeer or tyre slip on T150 pc. Is it normal for this wheel?

Normally not but it depends on what platform game and settings that you play. I would perhaps try and lower the force feedback strength or the other options. That might help.

@@SimulatedDrivingResource I play F1 22 most of time and tried on Forza too and its not working. Have the latest Thrustmaster update also. I'm on pc. Tried almost all settings.. but no luck. Thank you for replying.

Hey cool, you're back. Was worried you'd gotten burnt out... All the negativity around GT7 lately has been pretty depressing, it's still a great game, but many people seem to want to exaggerate small easily fixed problems so they can get views. Strange that the cheap Thrustmaster can't swap the steering wheel, I thought all TM wheels could be swapped. Guess this is suitable for kids.

Well, its every where the same. Tolerance and respect are getting more and more absent on sociale media. Well at least against corps. Yeah it's the same for T248, I thought they all shared that very high-tech quick release until I Got that one. It is good for kids though, not too high powered and fun to drive with and they don't mind its made of plastic because its a WHEEL they can drive with instead of a controller... and yeah... I was very busy inventarizing, photographing, selling lego asides from my daughters birthday. I really need to invest in a GT DD pro to review it.

Well it is a hybrid vs dual belt and the force at output level is certainly not the same. I have not opened up a T150 but I seriously have doubts about that statement
