It's cool that Trek has modernized the Roscoe to the point where it can hang with other good modern hardtails. I like the color too, but not the spatter paint.

Enjoyed the review and it's nice to see a review from both you and Steve. I think you have different riding preferences/styles so it gives two different perspectives which is really helpful.

Thanks! It's always great to get more than one perspective.

Deff relate to the smaller rider thing. I'm a 5'4" 108lb guy looking to upgrade from a Marlin 6. Great review!

Thanks so much for the great review! I'm just getting into mountain biking and I couldn't justify the price tag of the Roscoe 9 but it inspired me to buy the Roscoe 7, just picked it up today!

Seriously tho. I've got the R9 as well. In lg. Upgraded hope discs, stopping power for me at 5'11" 215 is soo much better! cut 1/4 in off ea side of the bars, this bike really rocks. Super playful competent and a real freaking Trek

I hope the time goes by fast! I know it's so hard waiting for a new bike--especially with arrival dates extending months and months. So exciting though!

Once you get past the hikers the second half of Chuckwagon is really fun, imo. You and Steve have me thinking seriously about adding a hardtail to the party.
@dustybettymtb2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, chuckwagon is a lot of fun! But it's true, the hiking traffic on the first half is just something you have to get through.

Awesome review! The best thing about the Roscoe's, are that they're a gateway into the world of fat biking, which is really the only true form of two wheeled transport. 😀😀

Which bike seems to be better in your opinion: Laufey H30/10 or trek Roscoe 9?

Hi Betty, thanks for putting in the work on this well done review. I’m looking for a bike for just knocking around the neighborhood trails. I’ve got a big FS cross country bike. I want a hard tail to practice bunny hopping, wheelie lifts, small wheelie drops etc. Wondering what your opinion is on this bikes price value , compared to other in its class. Any other bikes come to mind? Thanks again for all the info.
