Nice review. Thanks for sharing! I think they made the crest separate to line up with the mold better. Had they been attached to the head the mold line would run down the middle of the face. That’s just my hunch. Happy hobbying!

Just building some of these at the moment , the mould lines are doing my head in ! The plastic is fairly soft and sort of slippery when tying to clean them off

Hi Aled. That is a bit of a complex answer as it all depends on taste really. (If you look over my videos I'm not particularly fanatical about any one range, though I do have ones I think are better, for me.) Back to Victrix - I always say that they are more of a model than a wargaming piece, as they are true multipose figures. As you might have seen on the sprue, you have a lot of arm, head and detail options. Even the officers have 3-4 arms options! (The poor drummer have no options :( ) My main issue with Victirix is that the bayonets snap easily, but that probably my clumsy fingers more than a modelling issue, and indeed Ive have Warlord and Perry plastics snap, crumbles and 'ping off' as well so not a Victrix issue per se. They are some of the best value out there per figure (As I said with 24 per Battlaion you can get 2 from this set!). It works out (at RRP) as £1.93 per figure whilst the new Perry French (the only stuff comparable for multipose IMHO) is £2.2 per figure. I hope that answers your question? If you are not sure, lots of people sell sprues on Ebay, or I could send you a French sprue to try (if within UK only I am afraid!)

Hola, tienes razón, la combinación de múltiples armas siempre ha sido la clave del éxito, primero infantería, caballería y artillería, y después infantería, artillería, tanques y aviones. SIN EMBARGO, compré estas figuras para hacer tropas de Baden para la "División Alemana" en Talavera en 1809. Esta división tenía tropas de Baden, Frankfurt, Nassau, Holanda y Hesse Darmstadt, así como algo de artillería, pero no caballería.
