Never buying a Samsung fridge again. Same ice maker problems. May stop buying Samsung products all together. Definitely gonna buy from Lowe’s next time though. Thanks a million!

STRoNG iSLaND never buying another Samsung appliance again! We bought dishwasher, stove, and refrigerator. Ice maker went bad, fingerprints are terrible. Less than a year our dishwasher stopped working. No customer service at all.

We’re going on year 4 with ours. Same experiences, poor ice, fuzzy ice, freezing up etc. Love the 4 door flex system. Last week the Flex pump gave out and the freezer has gone south. -1 F. blinks. Fridge kinda works, freezer doesn’t. Ice melted. The repair guys says he’s seen 3 this year, there’s a leak somewhere in the cooling system. And it can’t be fixed, they haven’t found where it leaks from. Still under Samsung 5 year “sealed system” plus I bought Lowe’s extended. Unfortunately there’s only *one* !! certified Samsung repair company in my area and they won’t work on the Sealed System. Another guy, who used to be certified, said it requires special equipment (and non-standard gas?)that is too expensive to own for the few times he’d need it, “nobody in the area has it”. So I’ll see what happens next.

@@MrGizmo211 To Samsung's credit - they are replacing my fridge, absolutely hassle free. After dispatching a local repair tech who reported it couldn't be fixed, they sent a full refund of my original purchase price to the local Lowe's. The refund was used like cash to buy a new one. Any model / size / shape. And I mean Hassle Free. Great customer service. Word of advice -- Don't Lose the original Receipt. I had to send it in. Simple process, quick, painless. Sad part, the Lowe's guy was overly familiar with the process and made it easy "just pick out a new model and I'll order it for you." I've never experienced such great customer service between both Samsung and Lowe's. We decided to go with a different Flex model that has a pullout center drawer rather than the 4-door model, and it has a 10-year warranty on the Sealed System.

Samsung has NOT fixed the ice maker. I bought my Flex fridge in June 2016. Samsung has twice replaced the ice maker (including with the revised model) and replaced the ice bucket. The third ice maker has now failed after just one year. Samsung is refusing to assist me any longer. IF you buy this fridge, know that the ice maker is defective and if it is replaced, the new one will be defective as well. Otherwise, it is a very nice fridge except if you have kids, they will leave fingerprints on the doors every day.

We have had this for about 3 years, and we are on our 4th ice-maker. Keeps freezing over, known issue, and Samsung said they will keep replacing for life. I seriously love the fridge, but seriously hate having a rep come out ever 3 months to replace our ice maker.

I would NOT buy it without the warranty. I went on ebay and bought a coupon for Lowes for 3 bucks. The coupon worked and it pretty much covered my 5 year warranty for free.

I turned the ice maker OFF before leaving town by holding the ICE OFF button for 3 sec. Now I can't get the ice maker to TURN back ON. I the same button down for 3 sec-nothing. Held the ice dispenser lever down for 5 sec-nothing, reset the ice maker by pushing the blue button and it chimes BUT the panel still says ICE OFF. I have done this in the past and it seems there were TWO buttons that I needed to push but I cannot find it online again. The panel is NOT locked. The water is dispensing. Any ideas???

Had that exact refrigerator - purchased in January 2018. Sadly, it is junk. Looks nice but the ice-maker failed within the first 2 weeks. It is a terrible idea with any warranty. Samsung sent us out a repairman who fixed the problem with the ice-maker BUT told us it wouldn't last. He told us the ice-makers in these Samsungs will never work for long. He was right. A month or so later it failed again. Yada, Yada, Yada...eventually Samsung refunded our money. However, it took so long we no longer like Samsung. It was a long year with that piece of crap. Bottom line is this refrigerator has a lot of known issues.

Yup...had ours 3 years and ice maker replaced already 3 times and already icing over for a 4th. Said known issue so will keep replacing, but sick of having Samsung reps come every 3 months.

It’s a beautiful design and spacious. I purchased mine in June 2019 and it has had over 5 items replaced. It’s now still having issues and falling apart from the coolant leaking.

I don't think it will solve the ice issue because the ice maker is the problem. The filter problem I had definitely made the problem worse. I would just not buy more filters if my house had a filter system :). It would save you the 50 bucks.

All Samsung appliances and products are made in either Korea or Vietnam, same with LG except they might be made in Taiwan as well

I bought all samsung in my house, the fridge is dead after 4 years, after 1 years of normal use the icemaker jam and not work and samsung know it and never fix it. the stove is cheap made, after 4 years the light that show if still heat always stay on, the control are defective and not precise, the door don't close properly, the dishwasher is ok, the washing machine as been replace because could explode. I will never buy samsung again. People bought this brand because it have nice look. but trust me avoid it at all cost.
