Hi did India Chess Art charge you at all and/or make you pay full retail in exchange for drilling the holes?

hi Mark, there was no additional fee for the drilling. I purchased the set at the price they had advertised 😀 just left a note when ordering, but also reached out to them on whatsapp to confirm the hole's would be drilled.

Well done! I'm thinking of doing the same thing! I'm curious about the possibility to add some extra weight to the pieces... I saw somebody talking about filling out the cavity with some heavy putty, whatever that is :)

yeah that has been done and from what I know was fine. i could have done that aswell, however I dont mind the weight of these pieces. but it is definitely doable, just have a wider hole drilled to make more room for the putty :)

tungsten putty. It's used to weight fishing lines and pinewood derby cars in USA Cub Scouts. Not cheap stuff though.

The FIDE set used in the tournaments weigh only 1000 grams/set of 34 pieces…

i also dont like the chess nut pro pieces they need to improve the pieces , pieces not good then we don't feel like playing

from what i understand after i purchased my set they did improve the quality a bit, and also released the premium pieces. agreed that a good set certainly does raise the motivation to play :)

@@whiggi Thanks! I'd love the premium set. The overall system is fantastic and I can even play against my favourite computer AI (Shredder) on the laptop using the quality board. The premium pieces seem so much better though.
