Hia, thanks for the great review. Does the tilt dampening work like you fluid head by actually adding drag or is it just a s rew that tightens and adds friction? Thanks

Hey, thank you for your comment. The Mini Crane M1 III tilt dampening is just as a screw that tightens and adds friction. Hope this helps.

With this M1 III, what is the total combined weight that it can support, meaning both the camera payload end and the counterbalance together in total?
@PeterBacon6 жыл бұрын
Presumably 33lbs. So 16.5 pounds for camera & 16.5 pounds counterbalance.

Yes as long as the payload is less than 15kg

Hello. I'm seriously interested in this. I want to clarify for smooth reliable operation something. Here is one person's review from the B&H site followed by my question: _"This JIB is not for every rig or camera set-up. Simply because of "possible" weight issues. If your shooting a regular dslr/mirrorless rig, no problem at all! Its when you begin to add accessories onto your rig, it can be somewhat limiting. If your shooting with a heavy tripod head, its a down side... I shoot with the BENRO S8 which weight 6lbs. I also shoot with the pix-e5 monitor and it gets real heavy when two Sony NP-970 batteries attached. Plus a heavy Zeiss lens can quickly exceed the weight limit on the jib. Food for thought."_ Question: If the specs are:Standard Mode: 33 lb (15 kg) Low-Angle Mode: 22 lb (10 kg) Then if the mounted rig including fluid head and accessories is within these limits then what could be meant by "Food for thought". I assume you publish those specs because they're reliable. Could it be that the person has a lop-sided rig configuration?

Hi and thanks for your question. You are correct. All our specifications are very reliable. Its best that you test the product for yourself at your nearest dealer. In some cases, reviews can either reflect a genuine problem or malpractice. Its quite possible that the individual from the B&H review didn't set it up correctly.

***** Thanks for your response. My own downside is that I cannot test the product first. I live in Israel, and the one company that has this product are a pain to deal with. They seldom have items in, and will not bring it in (to the country) without payment in full. As a business they are awkward to deal with. In the past I have gone around them by reaching out to suppliers (ARRI, Sachtler, Cambo, Blackmagic) and dealt directly, but this is not always possible... ah, monopolies! However, I remain motivated by this product and will research a little more before emailing someone at iFootage in sales directly. What I see I like, and I'm inclined to trust the specs on this item. I appreciate your feedback. Thank you.
