bruh y'all hating this movie in the comments, it was beautifully told and really represents abusive households and discovering your sexuality was a wonderful sub plot, honesty it was one of the best movies i've ever seen

I agree. If it was like the book, it didn't really have a solid plot. You are just following along with these beautiful, painful experiences.

I just seen the film. I thought it was definitely interesting with creative visuals. I did wonder if anyone else has seen it and also had questions as well.

Sort off, but with sexual and social issues attached. Is very interestingly done, it seems to show the world through the kids eyes by the way so it comes across in an odd way.

The book was written beautifully through the perspective of the youngest, but almost as a collective. From him about them. At the end it becomes more his story as he has to separate from them. It was written poetically. Like the film, you are left to come to your own conclusions about what is happening.

Is their an emotionally satisfying conclusion? Or is is like finding and watching an hour and half of recently discovered, semi-entertaining archived family film footage

It was too choppy for me and too much guess work. It seems like the director tried too hard to wow the audience with visual story telling/cinematography instead of the actors telling the story.
