Hi Dirk, I share your love for Yashica rangefinder cameras. They are like fine timepieces! Your Electro 35 looks beautiful. I have the Yashica J, an all manual rangefinder. Also the Yashica Minister III, which has a selenium powered meter. Hope you still have yours and are shooting film every now and then. Cheers! Anthony.

Thanks for your kind feedback , lots of new content planned as well as better scanned sample images. Still have lots of great cameras to review and shoot with. Next episodes will be on the Yashica Lynx 14 and the Zorki 4K.

Just a quick question on the Praktica that you reviewed on another video, Does the light meter needle automatically moves or do i have to half press or hold onto any button when i want to trigger it?

Shao Wen The Praktica LTL has a metering lever just above the shutter release button. If you depress this lever then the needle should move , you'll need to hold it down for as long as you need to meter for. If you stop holding it then it'll return it's resting position. A manual for the LTL is available which shows the "metering key" location as well as other useful information on the camera www.butkus.org/chinon/praktica/praktica_ltl/praktica_ltl.htm

Actually, that is rather a nice camera, I may need to go find one soon.

Very solidly built camera which screams build quality. Electronics can be temperamental however. Used to be able to pick these up for not much at all

I love Rangefinders and am currently using a Minolta A5 1000. I also have a Canon Canonet QL17 and a Yashica Electro 35 GSN. I have to replace the light seals on the Canon and Yashica but I am looking forward to using them both once I have done the repairs. Might try some Fuji Acros B+W. For my more up-to-date stuff I use a Fujifilm X-Pro2. Loved ypur video by the way. Nice and informative with some humour in there too.

Thanks for your kind comments. You have some really lovely cameras. The QL17 is high up on my long list of wanted cameras. At the moment I have a few films at the developers for a couple more rangefinders ; the Yashica Lynx 14e and Zorki 4K so expect episodes on these soon. Acros B+W is a great film. The simulation on X-Pro2 of this film looks incredible too. Love how Fuji are doing this. Currently I'm shooting with an Olympus AF-10 Twin and a Rollei 35 with some cheap Kodak Gold 400 that I picked up.
