I have the same Industar 50mm 3.5 on a Zenith C camera. I had it in 1958 when I was 14. I have a Zorki 4k with the Jupiter 8 50mm f2 lens too I still use both and I am 73 years young now.

So if I understood correctly it can film in 4K ?

Yes, full 4K.

It also can be upscaled to 8K thanks to soviet manual upscaling mode

I bought my Zorki K4 around 1978 from a mail order catalogue. Mine has a 50mm Carl Zeiss 1.8 lens. Took some terrific photos. Definitely needed to use a light meter for some shots, but the more you use it, the easier it becomes.

I absolutely love my Zorki 4K. It's more comfortable to shoot with than my Leica M2. If the viewfinder was bigger and the build quality a little better, it would probably be my favorite camera. I use a Voigtlander 35mm f2.5 color skopar on mine.

Pretty strange that I find my zorki-4’s viewfinder as being too small instead lol

I own several Leica’s. But my Zorki 4K - brought new - in 1976 for 295 guilders will always be of sweet rememberance. The Jupiter 8 - using Agfa CT18 - showed - using a Leitz Pradovit with Colorpan - sharpness one would not believe. On a 150cm (5 feet) screen details of 1mm could be seen. Not as contrasty as a Nikkor 50mm 1.8, but it has its own mojo.

Well I am now the proud owner of a Leica M3 (Summicron not Summilux) and a Zorki 4 (not the aesthetically inferior 4K), and I watched your video. I came here to learn about the shutter rewind button, which I also thought was a lock. Thank you.

Shutter Jam is a great title lol. It reminds me of the Hasselblad CM I had which jammed up. I was really gutted and it put me right off the Hasselblad. I preferred the Yashica 635 TLR I had around that time. Trying to use a polarising filter with a TLR is a hoot!
@DeputatKaktus6 жыл бұрын
Never changing the shutter speed without cocking the shutter first is a mantra that many photo enthusiasts need to stick to. I got to know it as "The Kiev Mantra" (after the Kiev 88, a Soviet Hasselblad clone). It's not exclusive to Soviet cameras by any means, though. BTW, I just realized I have the same light table :-D

No strap lugs on the body is a pain
@speltospel4 жыл бұрын
there were models with loops. There was a leanter cover in the kit. which was screwed into the tripod socket and had straps on it.
@Murgoh3 жыл бұрын
@@speltospel I have the previous model, Zorki 4 without the K, and it has strap lugs on the body. Also has the leather case which is kind of a poor design because the strap is fastened so low the camera is top heavy and tends to hang upside down.

Are you an enormous man or is the camera smaller than I imagined? Got one winging its way to me, I'm living in fear of changing my shutter speed out of sequence but it's such a pretty camera.
@ShutterJam7 жыл бұрын
Lol, I like to think of myself as fairly average. The camera is quite small and compact but there's enough to hold onto. Don't worry too much about changing the shutter speed out of sequence as it would require quite a bit of force to actually do this and break it. Well at least on my one it is, best be careful regardless. Happy shooting and thanks for watching
