Great review! According to MG’s website the HS exclusive comes packed with extras as standard now….such as the automatic tailgate, heated front seats and MG pilot, plus a few more things. I’m seriously considering changing my Ford Focus to the HS exclusive… ideally I’d like the new ford kuga but they are so expensive 😢. This is the next best thing for the price.

Thank you very much Sam! The HS is definitely loaded with extras for the price it's offered at. The Kuga is a good car, it's good looking, practical, quick for the size and class of car but as you say, the price lets it down. You wouldn't be disappointed with a HS if that was the car you purchased, I was pleasantly surprised with this car.

@@shaun7665 unfortunately the MG I wanted the dealership couldn’t get it for me so I ended up getting a Hyundai Electric Kona they large battery one . I will be looking for a new car next year so hopefully 🤞🏼 the problems the dealerships had are now resolved. It was all down to the parts problems every dealer had back then . If I could of had the MG I would of jumped right in and drove off 😂xx

@@sarahdon3165 ahh after doing a lot of searching I’ve realised I don’t want this car now😂 beauty of a car and what you get but for mainly is mpg and I’ve seen way to many people saying it’s between 25-34mpg, my Kia sportage that I’ve had for 3 years is coming up 34mpg avg and I can tell you it guzzles the petrol, gutted from what a lovely car the mg is xx

I was hoping this video about the maual version would discuss the gearbox qualities / usage and any issues it may have.. Any thoughts from anyone who has the manual box HS ?

I have the manual, the gearbox is fine it's a nice drive. Had no issues in the year I've had it.

Does the hs essence x in the 2 litre turbo come in manual as well or is it just the 1.5

A friend of mine bought a HS, he had some issues with it that took a while to resolve. He made a complaint to MG Head office about it and that same week he came home to find his cat was dead. The cat was fine before and he thinks that maybe this was some sort of threat, has anyone else experienced this?

@@clarktherencebadilla6097 I don’t know man, his cat was super healthy and he thinks that it was assassinated because of his issues. You only have to look at how the Chinese handle COVID to see they are prepared to go to extreme lengths. I just don’t know if this is some sort of retaliation to assassinate his pet?

Nice review! Looking at the spec sheets the seats are faux leather on the 2 lower trims and proper leather on the top Exclusive trim

SUVs are not really my thing but they are incredibly popular family cars these days. I've see. A fair few HS and ZS and being so competitively priced I can understand why. I think you would have to really really want the premium badge to but one of the other brands over the MG.

I have to say that SUVs are not my kind of car either, I much prefer hatchbacks, saloons or estates but MG really have got a great car in this class of SUV. I'm seeing more and more MGs as of late as well, mostly the ZS but also the MG5 ev

Does the hs have the USB socket beside the rear view mirror?

The front USB socket is located behind a panel in front of the gear stick and the rear USB socket is located on the arm rest between the two front seats
